  1. Yeah my orginal 4ktc setup cost be about $400 to get 6psi up its guts. I did have a few mates donate parts (like the turbo) for free though, which sounds like it would be too hard for you with nissan driving mates. FYI - Wanting EFI doesn't rule out a 5k. My turbo 5k is running KR42R townace EFI of a 7KE. You can also get 4KE systems but they're harder to find, more expensive and not as good as the 7KE gear anyway! The 7KE EFI gear cost me $250 from a commercial (vans and trucks) wreckers. Click "TAR" in my sig for more info.
  2. Yeah 795gm
  3. haha that would be ......um challenging. Missus was watching that John & Kate +8 show a few weeks back. There was a bit in that where they were trying to take a pic of all the kids. They cracked the shits and just gave up. :P
  4. You mean the torque converter? In the bottom of the GB backing plate there will be a rubber/plastic boot/plug about half the size of a pack of ciggies. Pop that out and you'll see there's 6 or 8 (can't remember that bit) 10mm bolts that hold the torque converter on from behind. :P Edit: Ben beat me to it.
  5. 52cm long and 3.5kg last week. Probably 3.7-.8 now. After you feed him its really easy to overstimulate him, and if you do this it'll make him spew. When I took that pic the other night he was smiling and stuff cause I was playing with him. Thought, right I'll get a pic of this. Got my phone ready, stimulated him to make him smile, missed the smile with the camera....and then  . Happened 3x times and still didn't get a decent picture! :P This was about the closest I got to a smile....
  6. As too are AE86 rear shocks, which gives you all of the adjustable shock options for hachi's. I have 8 way TRD adjustable from an '86 in the back of my '55. :P
  7. Measure it yourself with a syringe and some water. :P
  8. haha good to here you got it sorted mate. Lets just hope that turbo doesn't shake itself to bits now! The 2 tone Ksev's driver is a member here, I can remember seeing the car as his avatar.
  9. He's a member here too, tassie guy. username rolla13bt :P
  10. haha didn't notice that. :P
  11. The 4age pistons (but with valve recesses) have flat tops yeah? Reckon troy was using a 4k head to lower the CR because of those pistons. Measure the capacity of the valve recesses in cc's (with a syringe). The "o-dish" 5k pistons have a 6cc dish and IIRC give a CR of around 10:1 with a stock 5k head. See what you get, and work out the CR from there. There's a few threads here with the formulars for working out your CR. :P If they are around 6cc you should be right to use a 5k head instead of a 4k one.
  12. Taken last night.....
  13. "How to be quicker than a lambo"........ Watch the whole video, I garentee it'll get a "what the" out of you!! :)
  14. I honestly think your easiest and cheapest option would just be to buy one here off a car being wrecked. Most members are trustworthy to make a purchase via bank deposit, if you don't like that then pay the extra $9.70 for COD through your local post office. There is also replacement ones on ebay pretty cheap..... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-COROLLA-KE10...id=p3286.c0.m14
  15. That poor Ksev is looking a bit worse for ware now!!....
  16. Will be a bit of work trying to adapt a T5 gearbox to a rolla :) ....or you maybe mean a Toyota T50? If so better start looking for a K-T bellhousing now!!! You might find one by 2012!!! :)
  17. Loupee has a 5k turbo running gas only.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=16635 :)
  18. Nah not really. Previous owner of that car had some on it and he did most of the cutting. He then sold the flairs on and I bought the car and had to get some more. If you fit them asap when getting them, then the fibreglass is still a bit green and flexible and makes life a bit easier. If I had to fit another set I'd just: dummy fit them with tape Drill holes for bolts and test fit remove flairs and draw an arc (from trimming) as close to the bottom of the bolt holes as possible. trim guards with tin snips re-fit flairs. I still need to fit mine properly after I paint them (still in gel coat) and get some flair tubing. There's a few pics of my car with cut guards and no flairs in the first couple of pages of my projects thread just after I bought the car. :)
  19. Can also buy bolt-on flairs from Meridian Motor Sport in Melbourne. Come in 1", 2" and 3". These are just the 1"s.... Click on "Tar" in my sig for more pics. :)
  20. Woohoo another corolla!! :) :D Will have a K50 available from Mud for you eventually. 4ktc!? :)
  21. 45kw would probably also be at the flywheel. 60-65RWkw shouldn't be too much to expect from the worked 4k though. There's a couple of members I can think of off the top of my head (philbey and leigh) who both have sidedraft fed 5k's making about 70rwkw. 100rwkw on a 5k takes about 10-12psi. :)
  22. Dunno, don't really care now. Quick pic of the rear wheel offset with the 27mm bolt-ons. Still got a little bit of scrubbage happening but not too bad.
  23. Every now and then mine will fuel up and flood. Really easy way I get around it is to disconnect the trigger wire to the fuel pumps and wind it over. It'll slowly clear then start, let it die (from no fuel) re-connect the wire, re-start and off you go. Might be worth a try. :) Oh and see what its like on some BPU.
  24. This what you talking about?
  25. Yeah use a hammer and punch...... the long way Or, cut a small slot with a hack saw or dremel and undo them with a flat-head. :)
