Exactly, bigport swap is a grey area as the AE92 import had a bigport but emissions would most likely be looked at. 20v is another option but then you have to worry about the looms, smallport is by far the best option as it is the same car.

I took it as you hit 10psi and the car started to cough and splutter. Might of just been the AFM plug, check your spark plugs and see how it is running. Fuel pressure doesn't stop fuel cut, the ecu detects engine boost/air intake levels (to be honest, I don't know if the n/a ecu is capable of this) and stops the injectors firing. Brad (beerhead) is probably the wisest S series member on here so he could explain it better.

I would be getting the FCD with the GTE ecu as the GTE ecu is supposed to have cut at like 10-11psi, I suggested the GTE ecu for the fuel maps.

I'd say that you are getting fuel cut, this is bad when boosting as the engine has a lean out, suggest getting a GTE ecu and a FCD at the very least or an aftermarket ecu.

Spotted a fairly tough looking beige E7 (think it had roof racks) on the Warrego highway (Brisbane bound) approaching the Esk turnoff.

Most definitely a flow issue, if it isn't the rad then perhaps try a high flow thermostat. Also if it isn't pinking then I wouldn't worry about the timing.

Buy a cheap hyundai sonata with a 4g63 in it and put it in, regulations should be the same even though it is an older vehicle since the 4g63 was used up until 2007.

What do you expect tho from a weak ass 1.5 SOHC turbo motor? They made a total of 86kw, bluetop 4age does that in N/A form.
