  1. I'm using an AE92 clutch kit, but what has that got to do with the tailshaft? Am I missing something here? And yes, I do believe the TA22 is the same as the KE Corolla, but the TA22 has a different output spline to the AE86 output, so can't use that anyway...
  2. Mr Revhead: any chance of getting a price on an AE86 TRD 2-way LSD center? What about gearsets for a T-series diff, what ratios are available?
  3. Hahaa... Yay for Covergirl :)
  4. Oh... Haha. Forgot to include some bits in my previous post :) Yes, will have to shorten the tailshaft to accomodate the different diff, and I have the rear half of the Celica tailshaft so that can be cut & shut onto my existing tailshaft when I get it shortened. Also, have just spoken to Mr Kellam, the AE71/86 tailshafts use a non-serviceable uni on the gearbox end, so will need to cut & shut that too... He has the front half of one, but that would mean I need to cut both ends off my Corolla tailshaft to put it all together... Unless someone here has a complete AE71/86 one? That way I only need to cut one end...
  5. No idea... I can't wait too!!!
  6. datgirl: white hair then, perhaps? :)
  7. Righty-o, this is the story: As you all know, I'll be changing my diff soon, and along with that I'll need to be modifying my tailshaft to accommodate the new diff. Am hoping to get it all done by the end of next week, so wheels need to start turning :) Anyway, at the moment I'm running a Celica TA22 T50 gearbox, which has the same output spline as the K40/K50 gearboxes so I'm using the stock tailshaft. When I change the diff, I'm going to be *hopefully - I need to find one first!* also changing gearboxes to the AE86 T50 gearbox which will hopefully solve my never ending gearbox woes... The AE86 T50 has a different output spline, so I will need the matching yoke (?) to fit... Question is: Can I just swap the yoke on the tailshafts? Or are they different enough that I will actually need to be modifying an AE86/AE71 tailshaft instead? Does anyone have one of these I could buy? Thanks
  8. And the funny thing is it would have been shorter if Teddy said: "I have a ke70 corolla with a 5 speed manual. It has dished wheels and new tires."
  9. Will still need some sort of mechanical system to stay sort of legal... But yes, hydrolic system will happen, when funds allow... Probably about the same time the cage goes in, might as well do it when the interior is all stripped out...
  10. Hmm... no idea. I played 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, don't remember if I played any of the rest (how many were there???) but if I did I don't think I got very far in them...
  11. Ah, learn a new thing every day :)
  12. Probably isn't, but this sounds so much like Ultima or something...
  13. Jamie: Yep, Half Life - SUPER GAME!!! Haha, spot the FPS geek :) Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem (I love the bubble gum quote), Doom, Quake, Half Life, Unreal... ;) Hmm, Haikal would probably know the rest of the answers, knowing him :)
  14. WTF??? Why can you speak Danish? :)
  15. Erm... this one isn't so old is it? gah gah, I keep thinking it is StarCraft, but no I think it is silly Diablo or Diablo 2? Hahaha... This would HAVE to be one of those Space Quest things. Or Commander Keen... Sam and Max?
  16. Not as old, but does anyone recognise this one? "don't Shoot! I'm with the science team..."
  17. Duke Nukem!!! (thought this was Doom at first...) Hahahahaaa... "It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum and I'm all out of gum" Wolfenstein 3D?
  18. Heh... For me it's not so much what other people think (hell, I don't really care :)) but more that I get a headache trying to decode it!
  19. My rear passenger window on Hal has number 12 on it at the moment :) *edit* And there was Jamie "oooh the only kind of racing I like is drag, everything else is boring" ;) Glad someone managed to knock some sense into you :) You really have to come out to a khanacross sometime, it is amazingly fun!!!
  20. I recon in your case it should be "Look out Takumi" :) I recon those "dorifto boys" should have come and seen your performance out there, you looked a hell load better than most of the guys at the drift competition... Maybe your AE86 has "doriftoritis" ;)
  21. Doug: Was speaking to Peter Moll yesterday, he mentioned that he was at Lou's and there was a KE15 Sprinter with a TRD LSD in it (or maybe Lou mentioned it to Peter...), in the stock Corolla housing? Must be a REALLY old TRD LSD, I don't think they make them for Corollas anymore...
  22. Race cars are good fun aren't they? :)
  23. You so did not suck, and no, you didn't come in 2nd last either... In fact you beat 4 people :)
  24. And, hahahaa... On my first run all the way from the starting line for about 200 meters I was throwing HUGE rooster tails out the back of the car :) I later on learnt to shortshift to 2nd gear to keep some traction and launch a bit better ;)
  25. It was reasonably smooth actually. The bits that were on the autocross track were smooth as, the bits that were in the paddock were REALLY loose and there were a few bumps and stuff but all the bumps were just bumps in the soil and not rocks or anything so the car went through alright. In fact I think most of the bumps were just ruts from the previous cars flying through... That track is SO MUCH FUN though, nothing quite like hanging the tail out at 7000RPM in 2nd gear, snap 3rd and kick it out even more :) And then down to 2nd, minor compression lock, flick into the next turn, SO MUCH FUN ;) Handbrake still doesn't work though, couldn't even lock it up on the dirt which is just PATHETIC. It works well enough to hold the car on slopes, but doesn't have a chance in hell at locking up the wheels, and I'm almost certain they should be "worn in" by now...
