  1. Not sure if the mounting positions are the same for both sets of calipers, I suspect they probably are. If not, just swap the whole strut over. Did you check to make sure all 4 of the wheels are the same? I've bought wheels before that all looked the same, but 1 of them was a slightly different offset.
  2. Chinese 4x4 gets zero in safety test Crash video 1 Crash video 2 Wow. At least it looks like the seatbelts worked.
  3. Without knowing anything, I'd have guessed that's how much it would be. But I've never looked into it, so I don't know.
  4. Most probably yes. They came with 2 different sorts, so you would have one or the other. In fact I have a feeling the swap happened in the KE55.

  6. Putting stress on joints and ligaments helps to strenghten them. If you overdo it then you'll injure yourself, but if you do it reasonably then you'll end up with stronger joints, ligaments AND muscles, and be a lot less prone to injury. By babying yourself all the time all you'll end up is with weak joints, ligaments and muscles. I know when I used to climb heaps I was a hell of a lot less prone to injury than I am now, and when I did get injured I healed a lot quicker too. Artificially stimulating muscles through steroids etc is all bad though, as then you have to deal with the side effects, and your muscle strength will grow a lot quicker than the strength of your bones, ligaments etc and that'll lead to bad things. Overdoing training is also bad, there's a limit to what your body can handle and if you overdo it you'll end up with torn muscles and ligaments and all sorts of other crappy things.
  7. Strong muscles help to make up strong joints. That said, no, not my cup of tea.
  8. Heh, there was even an article in the newspaper the other day (which I suspect was sponsored in some way by Repco), talking about the high fuel prices, and how people can save money. Among the usual commonsense ways like accelerating gradually, looking ahead and minimising use of the brakes etc, someone dropped in "buy a fuel modifier from Repco, which can save up to xx% fuel by making your engine more efficient, and also reducing emissions and saving the environment", or something to that effect :D
  9. I don't know, someone sent me the file. I don't think it's an R32 (but I haven't seen the video in awhile and I don't really know where it is at the moment)
  10. Motorkhana for me. Assuming I get my car fixed in time.
  11. /me remembers seeing a photo of a drift boy coming around a corner fully sideways and smoking it up, holding is quick release steering wheel out the window... drifters are weird in that way...
  12. Gee, I guess I'd better start making myself be a happier bubblier person soon :D Rolln16: I think you're looking taking it too much at face level. Of course different things make different people happier, just as different people's personalities are different. But we all share a similar biological build, and as written in the research, happiness and joy triggers the same part of the brain for different people. The key is, how do you trigger this? There's a lot of interesting things in that article, I could quote it all but I'd go on forever, and then you might as well read the article :( Haha, I like the last bit they put in:
  13. ... and there's a lot more about why he did the research on page 2...
  14. Rolln16:
  15. I love this buildup :D
  16. Maybe because, if you can find the key to happiness, then maybe you can help people who aren't happy achieve it. And happy people are healthy people.
  17. I thought this article about happiness was rather interesting. Haven't finished reading it yet, but a few things stood out so far: More reading to do...
  18. I have a video of some crazy Japanese drifters doing similar things, except a lot more successfully. They also do other silly things like doing slaloms down the track using pit girls as flags, among other things...
  19. first of all, hit and run is an offence, if you ever do decide to do this you'd better hope you don't get caught, the concequences are not pretty. secondly, if anyone gets injured in an accident I'm almost certain your car will be detained and inspected. Lawyers earn a lot of money from their clients. That's why they can drive fancy cars. Would you like to spend the rest of your life helping them to buy more fancy cars? Personally, I don't think it's a clever approach to take.
  20. Someone left the handbrake on? :D
  21. Rolln16: I'm just like a Virago - cheap and reliable, easy to ride :D
  22. $220 fully adjustable? That's... Less than I expected them to be!
  23. I've added 2 extra leafs to my leaf pack (KE35). I'm running KYB's on the back, and they're doing fine. In my old KE55 I had stock springs, running Monroe gas shocks, and they went fine. Are you sure your shocks aren't flogged out? I've always found the KYB's to be heavier valved than most others, and last a lot longer. My Monroes lasted about 3 months before they started to feel a bit soft'ish. I'm surprised Koni don't list anything for a KE35/55? I think there is a Commodore shock that fits in that's valved a bit heavier, I can never remember. And I think there's a Torana one or something that does too. I asked somewhere (probably on these forums) ages ago, but I've since forgotten.
  24. Bec is wise, I like Bec, it's easy to agree with Bec. I buy things for girls all the time. Not because I expect anything in return (although I suppose sometimes I do hope for something in return), but because I like buying things for people. Especially flowers. I like flowers, and I like giving flowers to people. And like, sending them to their work and stuff :D I like feeling special, haha, some people would say I live to feel special. And well, for me I think that if I was a girl and I got flowers, I'd feel special. I like making people feel special. I like buying flowers. For other people.
  25. A few other brands make adjustable shocks too, I think even KYB do. But yes, whichever brand you decide to go with, prepare to pay dollars. My front shocks (Koni) were $500 for the pair, and are only rebound adjustable.
