Is it an actual club? Like a registered one? I've always wondered about that.
Rob was talking about his club regoed '26(?) tonight.
What's the go with that? Like, say I wanted club rego or the boastworthiness of being part of a club (kids never let me join theirs in school :(. Fvck you, kids! I don't need you anyway! I have my OWN club now), wouldn't I need to formally register with RC or something?
Ah. Only saw it from the back as I was driving past.
I'm pondering on whether or not to break my 'no stickers' rule and get an RC sticker for the back/side.
Rear coilovers bolt straight up, but for the fronts you'll need discs, calipers, and steering arms, and possibly tie rod ends too.
When I finish up with mine I'll let you know what I did (don't hold your breath though).
OOH! I know an easy way of making money!
Step 1: Comandeer a stock KE70 for 500 bucks.
Step 2: Chop the springs.
Step 3: Get your mate to blob up the diff centre.
Step 4: Slap on some JDM stickers and sell it to some kiddies. Don't forget to illustrate how awesome the car is at ripping skids (use drawings and hand motions if needed).
WGMG: Looking through the sales section and finding people trying to buy shit that was for sale a year or two ago. Funnily enough, they're mostly people reeeeeeally keen on an AE71 pedal box.
...
I'm wondering if flat front doors will fit a slanty. They probably do.
Flat fronts come out without that trianglular piece because the mirrors are bolted to the door itself.
Check-a-wrecka for a flat front.
How the fvck did you find that out?
I personally think a gilmer belt is a bit pointless unless it has a supercharger (or a really fvcking AWESOME air conditioner) running off it.
Ahh, yeah that's what it was. That'll be fine for me anyway, because I tend to rev it a little high anyway and I usually stray away from 100km/h zones.
Cool, looks like I've found a new diff.
Cheers mate.
I guess we'll have to wait and see until I get the funds to stick the front coilovers in.
These will honestly do the trick just fine for me. Lloyd Smith uses the exact same series of coilovers in his 1UZ-FE AE71 and it works for him, so I see no real need to touch the suspension after it's in. Stock AE86 calipers & slotted discs will do the 4K just fine for the time being.
I'm also trying to chase down a borgy to replace my diff. It's been getting noticably worse and worse and I'm scared it'll just blow at any given point. There's an XX KE70 at the wreckers with a diff in it but it's an auto and I've heard that they aren't a direct fit to a manual. Is this true or are the two identical? I'll snatch it up this weekend if they're the same because from the looks of it the car belonged to a granny. Such a shame seeing it on the heap... :no2:
