  1. I went there the other week around half an hour before they shut, and they told me they were shutting up. Came all the way from southside for nothing. Then I heard a car drive past beeping the horn, and when I saw them the bloke in the passenger's seat was showing them the nail on his middle finger. Good to see they're making friends...
  2. Yep, sure 'nuff, popped a 5A fuse in the kick panel. Now to track down another. Thanks for the help.
  3. Ahh, I'll check that out. Didn't realise there were fuses down there.
  4. I was pulling the dash cluster out of the KE70 and the light went out in the cabin. I later tested the leads to the stereo with multimeters and it was dead. When I plugged the dash back in again the digital clock wasn't working. The rest of the instruments are functioning though. I checked the fuse box and they all look fine. I'll replace them all anyway though, seeing as they're a bit aged now. Is there something else I can test to diagnose the problem?
  5. So gutted I couldn't show, been dying to test out my new 4K but the bastard starter's playing up. Oh well, let's hope for next time.
  6. When do they have Downshift meets? I check their website/Facebook and it seems they don't plan it even a fortnight ahead.
  7. +1,000,000 to that idea. My work function starts around midday and this almost lines up perfectly for me. Haven't been on a decent cruise in dogs years..
  8. Feck! I've got my bloody work Christmas party on that day! Hmmmmm..... decisions decisions..
  9. Is it too late to drop out? What with my recent financial status due to rego complications I'm somewhat piss poor tight arsed broke. EDIT: Definitely can't come. Uncle's sick and I'm flying over to NZ to see him on Saturday. Hope I didn't fvck up your reservations...
  10. "Australia is the only country that is coterminous with a continent. Largest country without a land-border to neighbours. Largest country in Oceania. EB: 7,692,208 km²"
  11. I wasn't the one who registered it, and like I said in bold, they refused to send me notifications. It's a small sticker, with some small writing, in a spot I never look at. I was 23 days out. What kind of system cannot differentiate between the 8 different states of the largest continent on the face of the earth?
  12. A few weeks back I got a letter in the mail stating that my car had been reported stolen, so I called up our useful friends at Queensland Transport who told me it was because the system cannot distinguish between states, so when a rego number is reported stolen everyone with that plate gets a letter. The cvnty thing about that is that I have to physically walk into one of these institutions and pay over the counter, providing all relevant details. They also refuse to send me rego renewal notices. Today, I got a $264 fine for driving an unregistered vehicle. FVCKING CVNTS.
  13. I thought it was 4 link...? I was pretty much out the door when I wrote that so kinda just skimmed over the first things that popped into my head.
  14. Can't say much about KE30's because I've never driven one, but I own a KE70 so here's my 2 cents. They're not as old as '30's so parts are a lot easier to find. Both have 4K engines but I think the KE30 is lighter, so it might be a fraction quicker. Probably only by a bee's dick so let's just say they're the same in that respect. KE70's are popular platforms for race/drift applications because they have a strong chassis, there's loads of aftermarket/interchangeable parts, and here on Rollaclub there's tonnes upon tonnes of support for things like 4A-GE engine conversions, suspension upgrades, and so forth. Lots of bits pretty much bolt straight into a KE70 for upgraded performance (even KE30 lower control arms for negative camber), whereas with KE30's you might find yourself running into situations where you'll actually have to fabricate mounts, crossmembers, etc. or modifying existing hardware to make stuff fit. Then again, the older the Corolla, the cooler you'll be... :elvis:
  15. Speakers are nowhere near complete. That puts me out unfortunately.
  16. WGMG: Walking up to the front door with two armfulls of shit, balancing lunch box on knee, bag underarm, drink bottle in kneck, fondling around for keys, awkwardly raising key to lock, and someone comes and UNLOCKS THE FVCKING THING!
  17. That looks like a shweet place to camp out, albeit a bit of a road trip. Who'd be keen on a cruise down? Sure hope I've got some sound goin' on by then

Don't think so, no. It sometimes comes up around Algester.
  19. If my speakers are done by then, I'll come. Last time was phallic and unenjoyable. Let's hope this time is better.
  20. *Changed vote to the 10th. Book it home boy. Book it good.
  21. I'd be keen, but I turn 20 on the 5th and may or may not be hungover as FCK.
  22. What are some good ways of making a 4K faster without bumping up compression? Is it just the basic stuff like cams/carbs/exhaust?
  23. And most importantly, did you track down and curb stomp the offender?

Light blue KE70 with a bucket driver's seat and dishy Superlite style wheels around southside Brisbane. Sounds like a 4A-GE.
  25. Exactly what my mate did. He's on his green P's and got an exemption to drive his SR20DET 180SX. Said it was a piece of piss to get too. All this talk about vague & forgiving laws and exemptions has got me thinking about twinkies...
