  1. I was chatting to these police last night that pulled me and a mate over for a full rundown (making it my second time, god damnit), and one of them has been in the force for 30 years so I picked the fvck out of his brains while we waited for my mate to get his ticket. He said the only law was that you can't exceed 210 (that's right, as of last year) kilowatts on a N/A engine. I asked him if I could put a 4A-GE into my KE70 with or without a mod plate and he just looked at me blankly for a moment then said "I don't think I'm getting through to you. You can drive any vehicle upto 210kW so long as it doesn't have a hair dryer or a blower on it". He had a good long rant about our fvcked up law system (such as the maximum decibel limit for a 911 Porsche being about 15 times that of a Toyota Aurion), and outlined just how vague it is when looking at cars. I don't know how true this is, as I've found conflicting information from other sources, but I can't help but trust the wisdom of a man who's been doing something for three decades.
  2. We should all have a steak eating contest and the loser gets their stache torn off.

Actually I was talking about a flat front KE70. $7,800... Yeah... nah bro my mate talked him down to $2,000 and the guy was far too eager to take the offer. Still didn't buy it though.
  4. If we go in Movember, we could all go to dinner sporting our finest facial hairs!
  5. Pencil me in. Sounds delectable, with a hint of deliciousness.
  6. Bah! Rollaclubbers are so disorganised! You should leave the planning up to us young fellas (not me, I'm terrible at navigating). No notice, we'll just rock up at your house in the middle of the week and go for a drive. You know, the way a CRUISE should be. Cruisy...

That's recently been sold. KeYo and I went down there to look at buying it. Locked diff, 4K, pretty damn clean respray, and I like how the guy tied a bandanna around his boss kit to make it look less like an elephant's foreskin.
  8. AW DAMN! Internet's been down for a couple of weeks and I completely missed this!
  9. $150! :o
  10. My 2 cents, you'll regret it immediately. My 2 bucks, probably about 3 grand like you said. 3 and a half maybe.
  11. Negatory. Mine are 16X7+15 and they scrub ever so slightly. Rolling the guards should make them fit but they might need a slight flare on the fronts.
  12. Yeah, that'd probably be a better place to put it. But I'd bet you old buggers would still complain about hunching over to get at it :D. My dad needed my help lifting the alloy head off his falcon for this reason.
  13. My advice is to follow altezzaclub's, bar that remark about the bad design. It's a starter motor! Where else should one put it? EDIT: It was a spare off a 3K this guy had pulled out of a KE20 to do a 4A-GE conversion on. That's a good point about the flywheel. That might be a viable solution becuase it does feel very much like a hit & miss situation, not unlike teeth misaligning on something.
  14. You don't need to get under the car to pull the starter off. Just need a ratchet, a set of spanners, and a lot of patience. It's a bastard to pull out from under all the manifolds but if you get the right twist on it it'll pull right out.
  15. Done that.
  16. I've been having the same damn problem since I got mine. Go to turn the key and it just goes *click*. It takes sometimes 20 turns for it to finally fire up. I drove for about an hour and a half for another starter only to find I was experiencing the same problem. From the sounds of it, that clicking sound is the solenoid being thrown, but something's not working at the motor end of things. I've been told a relay might help, to draw more power from the battery; I've also heard re-earthing the starter to the block could work too; and possibly that the terminals inside the starter are gunked up/fvcked, causing intermittent problems. I'm gonna follow this topic 'cause this problem shits me to pieces, and for some reason, it's always at its worst when there's a chance to embarrass me (such as when I'm leaving a carpark full of car enthusiasts and most of them are muscle cars).
  17. I've got AE86 BC Racing BR suspension all round. The rear is the easy part; just bolts straight up in less than 20 minutes. Has adjustable spring seats and adjustable height shock tube. The shocks also have 30-way adjustable bump/rebound (not independant though). The fronts are a bit more involved, because you need AE86 calipers, brackets, rotors, bearings etc. but the KE70 brake lines are a direct fit so at least you don't have to fvck around there. I bought mine as a set which cost me $1400 on eGay, and I'd recommend them.

Don't hate it cuz you rate it :D
  19. In all fairness though, that is one tough looking rolla. And RE flat caps:
  20. Well I'm going so that's at least one. Reed has his too, that's two. Dunno about the rest though.
  21. I fit the demographic of a skid kid: young kid, red P's, KE70... Just sayin', you don't have to be an old bugger to be a car enthusiast. Yeah, guilty as charged. Lowered by means of coilovers, wheeled by means of Carving Head 40's.
  22. What the fvck did you lot get up to? I'm glad I left when I left, sounds like things got icky.
  23. Hey, Fvck all y'all haters.
