There should be a drain plug underneath the tank so you should be able to save most of the fuel. Just make sure you have something with a fine mesh (eg your mums kitchen strainer) between the tank and container. Or decanter it through a strainer into something else afterwards. That way you'll be able to save as much of the fuel as possible and it'll be fairly clean. Do you know if E10's ever been used ? Cause it can eat through the rubber fuel lines etc if the stuff hasn't been updated. What you could do is after you've dropped the tank and cleaned it out, make sure the car runs good on the fuel you have left and at the next fill up grab a tank of e10 and at the next fill up its back to the really stuff and change the fuel filter. It'll give the tank and lines from the tank to the filter a good clean out.

Might be better off holding off on putting all that stuff on and get it roadworthed and rego'd first. Be a right pain in the arse if you get turned down with all the go fast stuff on it.

5 link - including panhard bar/watts link. For what they are their very adjustable, the only things that can't really be done is camber and toe adjustments, unless the diff tubes are hit with an oxy torch. 4 link - is where the top two bars are mounted to the diff near the centre and come out on an angle to the outside of the car. Adjustable to a point just not as adjustable as the 5 link. The only thing going for it is being compact and less fiddly in setting up. (Pictures are from car bibles)

The only benefit i can see is the decrease of unsprung weight and the "Yay i've got independent suspension under the backend." I could be wrong but i think you'll be throwing more money at it then just a simple diff upgrade. My thoughts is of that if you want to throw some money around, convert a hilux diff to a five link.

Cool. Its always the simple things. But i thought the points gap was around 0.8mm or the thickness of a hacksaw blade. Anywho, when i had my old '30 about the first thing i did was convert it to electronic and pissed the points crap off.

My thoughts is that its not spark related Did you pullthe fuel line off the carby, something a 17mm spanner, with a container under the fuel line, pull the lead off the coil and give the motor a kick in the guts ? Just to make sure the "new" fuel pump was pushing clean fuel through ? Are all four nuts holding the carby onto the manifold tight ? If you take the air cleaner off and have a look down the carby, you should be able to see a shot of fuel get squirted when you give the throttle a twist. And not while the motor is running, i've seen that happen and it was piss funny when the guy burnt his eye brows off..... Never assume cause it can make an ass of you. Have a good look at them all and give each one a pull as you look at them. Something like a 14mm socket on the manifold and a 12mm spanner on the carby base. And a phillips screwdriver on the top of the carby. If none of that works then it might be a case of a compression test. Might even be a good idea on getting a vacuum gauge and learning how it works. The other option that might have to be done is pull the carby off, strip it down, soak it overnight in carby cleaner and put a new carby kit through it. A mate of mine had that happen to his hi-lux. It'd be all fine and dandy for a few kays and then it'd sputter and die, let it sit for a while and then drive off for a few kays and then it'd sputter and die again....

Yep, but i can't be arsed about ebay - i've thought about it mind you. So far i think i've thrown out and given away something close to a grands worth of crap.
