  2. pneumonia Or at least boarder line pneumonia.
  3. Mates of ours are in the same boat with being on the hunt for a vehicle that can seat 4 adults comfortably on long trips and tow a car trailer with AU falcon race car (for speedway) With everything they need to take for a nights racing their looking at something around 3 ton (spares, tires, toolboxes, jacks, etc, etc) The first vehicle they checked out was the v240 dual cab 4x4 cause a couple of other racers use them and have nothing bad to say about them, apart from the stock power to weight ratio. The only reason our mates dropped the GW is their maximum braked tow rating is 2.25 ton. But their still looking at it cause they can grab a second trailer for the commodore that can tow the extras.
  4. :ban: I've been forced back to my old Nokia. (And my god i can't believe i've missed it, feels so much better to use then a touch phone, but it does mean i've lost my contacts etc.) Its only got the typical number keypad, but i'm still able to type out the full words.

  6. Need to install a dimmer switch or learn how to tie a tie Then this is the place for you http://www.eyehandy.com/
  7. Basically when you jack the car up off the road and the suspension is at its full droop. Grab hold of the spring and see if you can move it off its perch. If you can do that its not captive and you'll have to find shorter shockies. It'll depend on what boss kit and wheel you put on. The correct one will be right - it'll be the correct distance from the stalks. But then again if you have long arms and short legs - bit like the average commodore hoon, you'll have the seat pushed right up to the dash and the back rest of the seat close to laying flat on the back seat.
  8. Wow About all i can say Happy birthday you old fart and i still have your presents sitting here :P
  9. :hmm: No hang on, you would do it to
  10. Yep have a few. My link and a few here as well Hope they help :) If you got the correct boss kit for the car you shouldn't have problems with the stalks.
  11. Photos would help a lot if you can get them. I don't know about the early starlets but the ke10 - early ke30 only had the 4 speed.
  12. $30 sound ok ? I'll take some photos in the morning if you want.
  13. Getting away from the motor itself a couple of gauges (volt, oil pressure and vacuum) make for an easy way of seeing how the motor is running. A sports wheel gives a better feel on the steering. Aftermarket nolathane bushes on the suspension isn't all that hard to do. But i wouldn't go overboard with the nolathane on the back, having a little bit of movement is a good thing. Their all nice simple things that can be done after work / over the weekend that makes for a nicer driving experience. And make sure those springs are still captive when the wheels come off the road.
  14. Like Red said, hydraulic is the better option. Depending on how much it goes for is the only problem with the ebay option. From what i know of the ae71 pedal box is that their never cheap. I know on the ke3x/5x near where the clutch cable goes through the firewall is two bolts where the hydraulic master cylinder is bolted on the TE series, all that needs to be done is the hole drilled in the wall and the clutch pedal modded. The ke70 might be the same. And then all you'll have to do is drop into an auto shop for the master cylinder and make up the pipe work.
  15. I see its coming along nicely. Been able to find a beaver panel (front apron yadda yadda) ? Have two sitting here that i don't need anymore.
  16. I, somehow, bricked my android. The phucking thing won't even except a hard reset. And my lady friend at the optus shop won't be there till monday.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlLC1Iy1UkE Edit - what the heck. Shanghai Lady Drives Off With Tow Truck
  18. If you can't keep up with the traffic, get it serviced. My old rolla when it was running a 3k with a 2 speed auto had no problems keeping with the traffic. Rob must having a good day :hmm:
  19. We've got the same thing with the lancer, a 5 year roadside assist as long as we get the car serviced by an approved mechanic at least once per year.
  20. Me thinks someone needs a bit more maple syrup
  21. Bloody heck that was fast :blinks: What happened to all the photos and and and and
  22. This is what the 7k manifold looks like http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Tech:Engine/K_Series/7K-E/Intake_Manifold And if you go back to the first post you'll se what the 4k-e manifold looks like As you'll see the 7k has the shorter intake runners, giving less chance for heat soak in the runners. The 7k's throttle body is a touch bigger and the injectors are bigger. Apart from that i'm lead to believe the 7k manifold will bolt up to the 4k head
  23. The afm shouldn't be the cause with it leaning out. A simple multimeter test on it should find out if its working correctly or not. Have you thought about getting the injectors looked at? Edit - stupid phone not letting me do it my way.
  24. Fuel off the top of my head. There's not enough fuel getting squirted through the injectors for the supplied air.
