I guess it'd depend on what the condition is and if the seller knows what it is. The one i have i forked out about $200 for it but that also came with the motor and the car. A few months back one on ebay went for about $300 from memory but it also had a bit of work done to it. So at a guess anything between 10 to 300.

And of everything that i knew about going from the auto to the manual has gone out the window. The manual box is just a touch in front of the bolt holes for the auto mount. From everything i knew, the x-member for the manual used the bolt holes further back, not the same ones as the auto.

5K in and sitting on the Liteace engine mounts 3K out and sitting in the war zone k50 five speed from a ke70 lines up in the hole but after dinner and after i jack the car up i'll post a pix of the little problem i have with the gearbox mounts

Oh yeah and the anchor restraint is in. I think having it lifted a little bit would be good so that i can get the clip to fit straight on. Hate the strap But i have this as a little problem - the bolt head is hitting on the bottom of the venetian. Which is going to make it a problem in lifting the tab up for the clip. I can either cut the venetian a bit or what might be a better idea is to cut a hole up through the board and hope i don't wind up cutting the carpet. The next step is to get it ok'd for use. And then its off to find a seat my boy can use, the one in the lancer is miles too big - can, after a fight, get it in the left hand door but to clip it in i have to go in through the right hand door.

Hoping to be able to do the engine swap this long weekend. The original plan was of borrowing a hoist from a workmate last night do the swap over today so that i could spend the rest of the weekend getting the turtle running. But that fell on its face after i got over to the dudes place and realized having a ute would have been so much better. So i asked my brother if he could help me with it today - but he had work today. So my work mate was going to see about bringing it around for me, since he was going to be over my way after he finished work but that fell on its face. So now its fingers crossed he (the workmate) is able to bring it around tomorrow morning. Cause since i've been bored and restless half the car has been pulled down for the motor being pulled....

Another idea, one for the general mechanical section - "Tech Tips" We have the "Tech Articles" section, how about a spot for those little tips that might just help someone before they get into a spot of bother. Lie, say, you need the thread of a bolt hole or a nut chased (cleaned) then grab a bolt of the same size and cut four slots down the side bit like a tap and screw that into the hole in the same fashion as tapping a thread. But i don't really think it'd work all that well as a general thread cause after a while similar tech tips will start popping up after a page or two and not to mention trawling through a thread page after page to find a tip that might be of use will just wind up getting a little annoying.

Kind of with the seats. I did have some nice cloth seats from the '55 that i had till i realized the seat belts are different in the early '30 so i got rid of them :) But now finding that nut has reopened the possibilities of other seats. But now i've also got the thoughts of some cloth '55 seats bolting the '30's belt stalks to them and keep it looking factory

I've noticed that my early ke30 has this plate underneath the inner rear corner of the drivers seat (the passenger seat has it too) F - is facing to the front A - is a nut thats welded or something to the plate. Bit like a forgotten after thought cause the nut is tapped but there's no hole through the metal for a bolt to go through. The seat belts (the clasp end) in my '30 are bolted to the seat itself, i know the later '30's and '55's are bolted to the floor behind the seats. Is this the spot where they bolt to ? The dimple thing is where the inner rear corner of the seat bolts into. Pardon the dodgy letters in the picture but my ever so friendly "borrowers" have made off with the text button in MS Paint. Up from the plate is the fuel line (or brake line), hand brake cable (or part of the hand brake) and the prop shaft.

C52, E51 or E58. I don't remember which one of the "E" boxes had the LSD from factory, unless you've already gone the aftermarket LSD route. But if you pick up a gearbox from the fwd corolla your going to have to crack the box open to spin the shifters around so that i t can be used in the mr2
