  1. JDM AE86s had vented as standard you'd probably be better of getting them. Otherwise you could ask RDA as they make aftermarket vented rotors for most cars and see if they made any for AUS spec AE86. Edit: Spoke to a mate and he said that JDM rotors will fit ADM calipers with slightly worn pads.
  2. All I know about the RX7 FC option is its really expensive. How many FC's do you see driving around...... I know a bit about 1 vs 2 piston's etc. The most obvious part is the increased piston area. More piston area means more torque which means more braking POWER. This also means that larger pads can be fitted which means which absorb more thermal heat shock. Brake pad wear should be better because of the more even pressure. Pads also absorb noise so less braking noise. Don't know that much on rotors but slotted disperse heat, gas, water and etc better. Also I have been told that between drilled and slotted rotors. That slotted is better in every way. A main question you have to ask is what is the car going to be doing? And how far do you want to take it/spend on it? Ei a ~300hp 1uz KE70 is going to need a a lot more than a ~150hp smallport one. food for thought I guess
  3. Is their a difference between K40 and K50 cables? Mines sitting unplugged, I can check tomorrow!
  4. You like your car to smell like shit.....
  5. Air box 99% done. Debating wether or not to make a "cold air" induction system.
  6. Find a 1978-1983 Toyota Corona (XT130) preferably one with power-steering. Then pull everything you can see in the front arches out (struts, brakes, lca's, tie-rod ends) or AE86, RA60/5 whatever you like the sounds of, I have RA65. Then buy a pair 1989-1999 Toyota MR2 (SW20) shocks. You can use front or rear. I'm using rear in my car as there not as short/less harsh. Also the rear bears the weight of the motor in a MR2, so better suited in my opinion. Then get a Weld on coilover kit many brands, options and etc. Plenty of info around on this generally consensus is 6-5kg in the front. I have a HSD kit with 8kg springs (Too hard for dailying realistically). Many guides and etc on how to install these kits, its pretty basic.
  7. If we're having a competition I have RA65 and I can fit R33 GTR/etc and their brake upgrades!
  8. PM troyota I'm getting mine through him!
  9. I asked this yesterday! http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/61462-exhaust-manifold-bolts-4age/
  10. I don't smoke because I'm a tight arse haha.
  11. Too cool for school! How do you like your camber tops, I just ordered a set.
  12. That would cost you a serious amount of money! 1000+ easy. Do what munji mods said.... much cheaper.
  13. There is nothing wrong with Camrys!!!
  14. RA65 GT-T(GT-S can't remember no difference in struts/brakes) With HSD coilover kit, 8kg springs and SW20 rear KYB Excel G's.
  15. Bloody awesome guys! What are the cast iron washers for? If the stud isn't the correct length? I'll go to Toyota/Nissan tomorrow Grab some spring washers and nuts as well at some point. If anyone happend to know the Torque setting that would be sick!
  16. Cheers Trev Ok I'll give it a clean with the tap. I thought you ran bolts in these ones as the 3 studs up the top look un-removably. Do you reckon I will be able to get them through Toyota? And would you just put some Loctite on the new studs? Last one do you reckon the the high tensile nuts from super-shit will do the job?
  17. Positive camber is not JDM!
  18. I'm sure this would handle phenomenally!
  19. Ok so the 4AGE I bought had no exhaust manifold and no bolts or nuts for it. So here is the dilemma I bought some high tensile M10 x 1.25 35mm (or 45mm can't remember of the top of my head I can check though). Will those do the job? The nuts thread on fine. But the bolts are quite firm. ei can barely be twisted by hand. I am shit scared of snapping them in the block! Is their something I can do to make it a bit easier/safer? Many thanks!
  20. NeEdS MoAr CaMbEr!?!
  21. Did some random boring sh*t today like mounting the radiator/thermo. Fiddle with wires a bit so think I know what to do as for as wiring goes now.
  22. Did the previous owner die? Also lol at panther power.
  23. In AE86 the shock and spring are a "unit" and stronger whereas in KE70s they are seperate. AE86 KE70 Their are a few ways of strengthening it but they're all alot of effort. Thus why most people don't bother.
  24. America! ʞ©$ɟ YEAH! Not really stealth anymore.
  25. The KE70 would probably get air born from that horn!
