Hey Tom, I myself use a netbook running XP 85% of the time. I'm always researching stuff, mainly for work. It is the norm for me to have 8-10 browser windows open and 50+ tabs open at any one time (atm I have 8 windows of Firefox and 52 tabs in total open). I don't have any problems with the bookmarks button you mention at the top of the page. I run 1024x600 resolution. The problem I have every 4-5 days or so is Firefox chewing up too much memory. I don't restart my netbook often enough. I am so hanging out for my new laptop, so I can combine some portability with actual processing power.

Really it should be called a Valve Cover. On a K motor yes, it does cover the rockers. These days with the advent of OHC and DOHC not many motors use rockers.

The headbolts couldn't possibly be bottoming due to the shaved block? You did run a tap through the threads for the headbolts in the block? Did it ping at all before it overheated?

It is a very neat car that one. My advice would be to not do anything that can't be undone. There would have to be 100 ke70's out there to every ke1x sedan. Go subtle, get a set of those 14x5.5" tarago/celica steelies redrilled. Fit a set of decent 185/60 tyres, whitewall them and fit your crown hubcaps. The thing will look sweet and have a huge improvement in cornering power over gay 12" tyres. Spend your cash on suspension mods that actually make the car handle better, and on a tough turboed K series motor or something. The car may not look as fast with this route, but it will sure go and handle a lot better than the same cash spent on poser spec mods.

Maybe you could take it to a decent muffler shop and exchange the turbo muffler for a much quieter reverse flow type.

Yea, well depends on what you want, if you are after the look then hack that bitch up. Personally I found mazda 626 13x5.5" steelies with yoky a539 185/60r13 tyres fit the ke1x cars perfectly without scrubbing even with a load on. Ran them on both my ke15 and ke16. Perfect for hunting down bikes on twisty mountain roads. :wink:

The hubcaps look alright. 14" is the way to go, at least you can buy decent performance tyres in 185/60 for 14's these days. 12" tyres are gay. Only good for original restos and little else. The superlights seem to have some dish, I'd say you'd need to do some carving up of your ke11 to make them fit.

take the rocker cover off. When no1 is at TDC at the end of the compression stroke the valves for no4 will be on the rock (ie. exhaust closing, inlet opening).

Firing order is 1.3.4.2.

KETURBO25, something that would be cool would be to graft on some R100/RX2 round taillights... Now that would keep the average punter guessing. :wink:

Oh I understand completely. I'm in no great rush. Funny how it takes about as long to get something from the US as what it would take to ship from WA to over here. My new laptop however is a lot harder to be patient for.... I7 820, 8 gig ram, hd4830, 5 hours+ battery life... I want it now! Friday I'm told, please be here Friday. f@$k is it Friday all ready? LOL.
