  1. Peep mirror/s?
  2. An almond or champagne colour for the rims? Stance is looking good.
  3. Camshaft Engineering at Cooparoo?
  4. Doubt you'd get them from ACL.... They only list ring sets for the dished piston 4k's. I've seen them listed in some piston catalogs from overseas suppliers before. Search google for "4ku pistons".
  5. Yea the Supertrapps were popular in the early 90's over here on modded cars. They used to be common on speedway sprintcars and the like. The megaphone style with adjustable plates would look cool hanging out the back of your Type 3. You can get different end caps to change the look and sound. Probably wouldn't be exactly cheap.
  6. The slight reverse rake doesn't really work on those things. Needs a little forwards rake, maybe raise the rear a bit? Hang a supertrapp out the back. ;) Lowered front bumper, gives it a bit of a 50's Chev look. more...
  7. Good idea. ;)
  8. The price you pay for owning a cool Euro car. It is exactly the same for my 7 series E32 Bmw. Awhile back I had a rock smash the lense of one of my high beams. Would have cost around $140 for a new aftermarket replacement unit (probs triple that for genuine). LOL, what I did was buy a cheap new headlight unit from some other car with the same sized lense. I removed the broken glass from the old light, cut the lense out of the new one and siliconed it into the orig high beam. Cost $23 plus a couple of hours stuffing around. ;) I need to get another key cut myself. I'm scared to think how much they'll want for it.
  9. Cross-References to Ryco Z418. About $8-15 retail.
  10. The Z386 is the Ryco version of the toyota 4AF/G and 3SF/G 5SFE oil filter. Spins straight on to a K series motor.
  11. Nice little car, like the way it sounds. . ke15/17 likeness much, especially side on.
  12. What I'd do then, is adjust the valve clearances and then compression test it, to get a better idea of condition.
  13. Judging by the plug leads she looks in need of a bit of maintenance. Have you changed the oil recently?
  14. E30 BMW going hard.
  15. I've got a set of 1 3/4" SU's on an Intake manifold to suit these things if you were interested in traditional tuning.
  16. I've used the ryco z9 before. The one I had must have had a faulty drainback valve... would take about 5 secs for the oil light to go out on start up, so didn't last long on the car. Another bad filter I've used is the Valvolive Z68 equivalent, bad oil drainback. I like the Z386's, instant oil pressure.
  17. Sorry man, but that won't work on a jap diffed ke1x (well wouldn't bolt up). The ke1x drum backing plates run a different bolt pattern than the ke2x and later. Also the drums are narrower on the ke1x to the ke2x onwards.... The axles have a shorter distance from the wheel bearing to the mounting face for the drums. The ke2x diff and later can be made to fit.. You need to mod the handbrake and the leaf spring mounts. You also need to take into account that the ke2x on diffs are wider and will have a wider track.
  18. The orig ke1x boxes have different input splines (and output as well I think from memory), compared to the ke2x onwards. My ke15 when I got it had a ke30 4 speed in it. I changed it to a ke70 5 speed and found the shifter location to be much much better. No problems with clearance to the handbrake... Never had any issues at motorkhanas when doing second gear handbrake turns. I did initially have issues bashing my elbow on the door with the stock steering wheel though, a smaller wood wheel fixed that.
  19. Do some timed runs with a stopwatch on the same piece of road... Change at 5000 and measure say 0-100kays. Try again at 5500, then at 6000. Work out what shift RPM is quickest.
  20. Rotary Displacement Rotary vs. Piston Engine Equivalency
  21. From what I understand, compared to an IDA they have a lot more low-midrange response, drivability and economy. Topend is way up there. If you are interested I'd be watching US ebay or on american rotary/rx7 forums. http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=862625
  22. Google chrome will do that. Tried it for a bit, it wasn't bad. Didn't have the cool useful plugins that Firefox has. So went back to Firefox.
  23. Yea. WGMG's is if one of the tabs locks up, and Firefox shits itself. Not that bad to get them all back again. Just tests the old internet connection (and my patience) opening so many pages up at once. Task Manager says atm Firefox is chewing over 700meg of my 2Gig of memory. Think I need to clean up a bit. :hmm:
  24. Looking real nice kangaroosa. :( I agree the 2 door ke30 sedans are the pick of the ke3/5x series. One thing I'd love to try if I had a rotary would be to build a secondary bridge port motor and run a set of Rotary Engineering Dual DCD Webers. :hmm:
  25. Bekkkkah, calm down. Everyone here has a common interest .ie corollas in some shape or form. Seriously coming here and demanding answers to questions that have been asked countless times before is going to get you no more than a "use the search function" type of answer. Try a google search to research for the info you are chasing. "site:rollaclub.com 4k mods" Much better than the search function built into the forum software rollaclub is run on. Just remember that everyone here gives their own free time. I'm a mod, I don't contribute as much as I used to, or would like, but I work 50-60 hours a week, have a family and don't really feel inclined to answering the same question again that has been asked countless times brfore.
