  1. has it got an internal spline on the flange? ie a place for a drive shaft? that radius rod looks like a rwd item, can't recall seeing that on a toyota fwd find the part number on the shock body and i maybe able to suss it out.
  2. 3 in a row would be mega mega amazing. at this stage (early days yet) there are no firm plans for next year. we are doing the summer circuit series in a c spec wrx. theres also stuff happening with china. have to see what offers are on the table I'm still hoping for a decent attack at the oz rally series
  3. well yesterday was the penultimate round of the NZRC, rally wairarapa going into wairarapa (richards home rally) he need only to score 50 points out of a possible 62 to gaurantee the championship one round early. things started well by winning the first day. 2nd day things looked a little shaky when at morning refuel there was damage on the left front... however he made it to service (after winning a stage with bent steering!) and we sorted all issues ok. he then went on to finish 2nd for the day, 1st over all for the weekend. meanwhile sam murray his main competition ended the day in a ditch. so all in all a damn good weekend for us :lock: PICS! so whats next? rally NZ and summer circuit series!!
  4. pfft my 4agze hybrid pwns you all :)
  5. e5sumthing totally different from a c series box, completly unsuitable for N/A and none were ever stock lsd
  6. ah ok thats not part of the AFM, thats an adaptor to fit an HKS pod filter which btw are crap
  7. the rods can handle 7500 which is all you need. they can also take quite a bit of power revs kill rods not power. also you can't just put a 4age head on a 7afe block, if you do you get about 7.5:1 compression! so you need the 4age pistons which means a rebuild
  8. its got HKS where?? look here: http://www.turbocorolla.com/tech/default.htm
  9. no if you have TVIS leave it working disabling it WILL lose power/torque. if it doesnt, then it wasnt working right in the first place
  10. yep "c" series boxes come with that dodgy 3rd gear syncro stock! no fix for it, unless you want to rebuild. if using redline KEEP using redline. many many people have used it, then gone to something else and the box has died soon after. i use ATF in my boxes. thats a c52 on a s/c engine with no issues
  11. more of a fact session iv found that 99% of people who like kings have never tried anything else
  12. throw the kings away get a decent brand in oz id go for whiteline
  13. haha well 831cc injectors twin plate clutch and dog box..... yeah hes spent some cash.
  14. why do you want? what engine u got now? its often cheaper to rebuild what you have with 4agze pistons. giving you a new motor ready for boost.
  15. theres a 7agte over here that just did 330kw on stock cams and pump gas. so with the right parts and race fuel i can believe that power. be a pig to drive though!!
  16. hmmmm your front wheels look SERIOUSLY dodgy... problem with the 4agze is cost. buy a 20v and rebuild with 4agze pistons and u have a new engine ready for 20psi. 20v>bigport
  17. 185/60/14s is stock 195/60/14s is a popular choice.
  18. from our brief mn convo (sorry my spare 20v motor arrived :ninja: ) i learned his is an AFM 4agze. if thats the case the knock sensor wont be causing those symptoms, unless the gluing is causeing it to send a f@$ked up signal. i run my AFM 4agze with no knock sensor and while itll only run the base timming and is prob costing power, it actually runs fine. so yeah start looking ofr vacuum leaks etc
  19. this is a MAP 4agze? if so ITS YOUR KNOCK SENSOR! GET A NEW ONE!!! get it? if its an AFM one, itl lbe something else as well
  20. if your knock sensor has been glued, its f@$kED replace it. if it was plugs and leads itll run worse under boost, ie higher revs than below 4k. is the o2 sensor u got compatible?
  21. what exactly is wrong there?
  22. what is the model of your car? and what engine does it have? its a pretty straight forward swap... but if you need to ask such questions its prob best if you get some experienced help. some tips with running 20vs: always run it on the BEST fuel you can. these are designed for 100 octane. run a catch can, NOT a plumb back type, you want to remove all fumes from the intake. do not run a pod filter. run a K&N panel filter in the stock box and make a cold air duct to that box. fit new leads, the coil lead needs replacing every year. before you put the engine in do the following: clean out the intake tract, including the TBs. take them off and use carb cleaner. change the cambelt, tensioner and water pump. also change the little rubber pipe out the back of the water pump USE GENUINE PARTS ONLY.
