hehe people are still looking at the wheels like wheels on a car... think of them as bearings.... that allow a speed difference betweeb 2 objects, in this case the belt and the planes body. you are also thinking in terms of someone on a treadmill, which is different as the motive force is acting independantly from the wheels/tread mill.

yeah, the wheels while attatched to the same structure...... they work independantly the engines create thrust. unless there is a force counter acting that, it HAS to move. there is no opposing force other than air resistance and the friction in the wheel bearings. the wheels can turn independant to the plane..... in effect the wheels are just acting like bearings. you are stil thinking like the plane is propelled by the wheels, not so. the wheels are only there to minimise friction. they serve no other purpose

ok jason, your confused.... stop, start again. forget all youv thought of till now. think about how an engine moves a plane. think about what wheels or skids for that matter do on a plane. if an engines starts on a plane.. what happens.

ah... i think u lost me in there some where jason how can it move relative to itself, but not to a 3rd person? think again, what drives a plane forward? what do the wheels do on a plane?

so your saying the belt is pushing against the plane hard enough to counter the engines force?

remember guys: also for the purpose of this question it is assumed all engineering possibilities eg the belt is possible and jason, your on the wrong track..... think about how jet engines move a plane......

yes, or a propeller, both use the same basic principle, and medium to create thrust.... keep thinking :D

stolen from various places. Imagine a plane is sat on the beginning of a massive conveyor belt/travelator type arrangement, as wide and as long as a runway, and intends to take off. The conveyer belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the wheels at any given time, moving in the opposite direction of rotation. There is no wind. Can the plane take off? Explain why it can, or cannot, take off? also for the purpose of this question it is assumed all engineering possibilities eg the belt is possible.

i love those cars! heres what you need: TRD suspension inc sway bars TRD CAI TRD LSD TRD clutch TRD flywheel TRD exhaust manifold TRD short shifter TRD brake pads :D hehe but seriosuly... go white line for rear bar, cheap! TRD CAI makes a huge difference. as would exahaust manifold. we run these engines in the TRS, dry sump, motec and blueprinting gets 215hp from them.

4afe head? um. NO. there is no way a 4afe head can make more power than a 4age head in the same circumstances. the valves, ports etc are all smaller, and the combustion chamber shape is not as good as the 4ages pentroof. now i never actually got the idea of what this guys wants to do.... make his ae92 go faster? yes you can supercharge the 20v. I'm gunna do it :P but for 5-7k.... i doubt you could, no offence but form the questions uv asked i gather you can't do it ya self for that amount you could do a 4agze or 4age conversion. but yeah...... id look at buying one already done.

2 very very common causes of that.. you have an air lock in the cooling system or you have a fuxx0red idle valve. the idle valve is under the throttle body on those. you can take them apart and clean them... that sometimes works.... or just throw it away and block it off.
