Toyota actually invited a heap of the major tuning companies to inspect and drive it just the other day. They fully expect it to be utterly molested, which is why you can buy a 'stripper' version with raw plastic bumpers and trims, no creature comforts and a 1180kg kerb weight. Bottom left. I like it. Its manual, its RWD, its 1200-odd kg, has more power than an MX5, wider track, lower COG, with only a smidge more weight. And as anyone who has driven an MX5 will tell you (If you haven't, stfu, you know nothing) they're an absolute shit-ton of fun. This, by all accounts thus far, is better. I'll be buying one.

I'd like to point out right here, you'll notice the freak has painted the brake shoe retainer springs. I mean really, the tiny little springs. Behind the drum. Where they will never be seen, by anyone, ever. *cough* ocd *cough*

The keyword to making anything look good is clean. Pick one 'theme' and stick to it. Make the painted bits all the same colour, the chrome bits chrome, and the black bits black, and it'll look good.

Not my personal favourite of the 'Ronas, but I'd drive one if it was relatively clean and had a/c... Oh and the 18RC was ripped out, pulled apart, melted down, buried across 4 continents, and replaced with a 22RE.

The fundamentals are good... Engine would comfortably trounce anything A or K powered... But my god... Those wheels, dat paint.
