  2. forget about balance with an Fj20.. they are friiicken heavy mitsubishi saturn engines ftw.. feeble ol me can lift a complete one piss easy
  3. blocked exhaust maybe?
  4. I'm easy, as long as the dates right ill be up for anything. ill take a huge assumption here and say since we are all car nuts here so maybe a bbq followed by a go karting adventure might be the go??
  5. you make it look alot easier than it is thats for sure!
  6. hey raven, does your mate have any plans to sell/replicate those flares? if the flares are that hard to get I'm sure more than a few people here would jump at the chance to buy them if they were replicated.. me for 1! i have a mate that makes mini flares... umm flares for morris minors that are top notch if your workmate can't find anyone to make moulds etc
  7. i tried.. my avatar pic i upload is 13.2kb on my computer, yet once its on here it blows up to 307427b! what am i doing wrong here :)
  8. ill have an up to date licence as of this weekend. non speed tho. i can always upgrade if needed out of the next 4 weekends I'm racing on 3 of them.. so hopefully any cruises wont be during this period or ill be heart broken! oh btw if anyones in bendigo this weekend and has nothing to do.. head on over to bagshot motorsports complex and say hi :)
  9. spanner? hell yeah i race with him all the time. real nice bloke and a GREAT driver! always helping out with the motorkhanas out at bagshot. actually i think brians organising the huntly VMC round. your nice n close, ya should come over and have a go if you havent decided yet! ill be there aswell as numerous other rollas :(
  10. kewl.. where abouts in melb did ya compete, and what sort of event? theres a motorkhana at the BP servo at somerton i wouldnt mind competing in.. don't know who organises it and how often though
  11. wanna try scary? on my 'personal' test track i had my v8 val sedan sitting on 180kmh (about as fast as the damn boat would go) which wasnt fun at all considering it had the old style super light steering, a bad wheel alignment and approx 30 degrees freeplay in the steering. the things you do when your young and very stupid. I'm very lucky to be here! had my EA S pack 5 speed off the clock (200kmh), resting firmly on the stopper at the bottom of the gauge, and +200rpm on top of that. it felt much safer at that speed than the val did at carpark speeds. had me new rolla up to 70mph. i backed off sympathetically coz it sounded like the pistons were going to hammer the head at any moment. according to the overhead speed checks on the hume hwy 60mph = 84kmh.. that was a bloody slow trip to bendigo!
  12. or maybe even a cruise to a local track when one of the members here is racing.. to cheer them on?
  13. how about a cruise to the drive ins when something good is on? i would be more than willing to organise a gokart + cruise meet later in the year, I'm a tad busy atm unfortunately. organised a few for ozdat a while back and the reception was really good. never organised a cruise though and i dunno many good melbourne roads.
  14. maybe a cruise to a gokart track?
  15. id be up for a cruise anywhere.. heathcote would be good, its 10 mins from my oldies place (at lake eppolock) would youse cater for the slower drivers at all? my rolla don't like sitting on 100, it revs its tits off!
  16. i decided to test that theory, so last night i tried fitting the missus' 87 saab 9000 turbo alloys to my ke25, and they fitted perfectly! even offset was just about right. woulda looked better without the saab badge on it. today i tried fitting saab 900 alloys to a 9000, but the stud pattern was wrong
  17. sorry to hijack the thread for a sec.. so does saab have the same stud pattern as early rollas?
  18. how about an early galant/lancer with an astron/sirrus engine? my mate has an LA lancer with stocky 1400, twin dellortos (untuned) and it cains (dirt) motorkhanas
  19. of course... but the power is dictated by your right foot. if you don't need the power, don't put your foot down. control the power! however there are times when a bit of low down torque would be very handy, hence why i said 4agze. compact, easy to get, easy to soup up if need be, and very torquey compared to a 4age. i should also add to my list before an AE86 rack and pinion setup.
  20. does everything on the car have to be pre 80? if not id be goin 4agze ke20.
  21. yes it is.. i swapped him for a damaged 20v AE92 bit over a year ago.. got a good deal i thought ;)
  22. it would probably be just as easy going to dicksmith and buying one of their DIY kits, then get a bulb for the back and wire it in
  23. actually i was funnily enuff, that was a motorkhana i was doing at the time.. theres a flag in the dust there somewhere
  24. gday guys, just found this forum from a link on toymods.. must say I'm impressed so far. my names cameron, from reservoir (originally from near bendigo). i have 2 KE25, a stocker grandma pack daily driver and future project, and a race car with AE86 rack n pinion, 4age, ta22 front brakes, ke55 rear diff etc etc, that i club race.. heres some pics http://www.bendigocarclub.com.au/uploadedF...215187-0752.jpg gotta downsize the pics of the grandma pack before i can post em :P
