Update, there have been issues getting the stock ECU reflashed, so I've bitten the bullet and bought an Autronic SCM with all the trimmings. basically an SM4 minus the speed sensor. Also have a new set of flares that'll allow me to run 225/55R15's with no problems on 15x8" -9J rims. Cheers jordan P.S: I'm now working as a Ventilation Engineer at Broken Hill, so there should be some serious updates to this thread shortly.

as to the question about gearbox mount. Simply dummy up the gearbox where it'll eventually sit and either: a) Modify the standard mount b) Make a new one in eithe case you'll need a welder, and deffinitly an angle grinder or 14" drop saw. Cheers Jordan

if you put those wheels on I'm personally going to come to Queensland and you know I've got your address, put your car up on bricks and toss them into the sea. It's a KE10 dude, run 13's or 14's absolute max, crazy dish (old school mini style.) Higher profile tyres (they'll give a much better ride,) and handle better as well. Something like a 13x7" +5 kidney mag in gloss charcoal would look awesome. Cheers Jordan

The answer is not yet. Leave to go back home around 5 this afternoon. Cheers Jordan

Whee'd everybody get to? :) The cruise for the 4 that made it the whole journey was a genuine blast through the hills, finished off with a beer and a few laughs at the Norton Summit Hotel. Hope to see you all next time Jordan

Cheers for the overwhelming interest. Should be a good night to catch up and have a yarn. See you all just after 7 Jordan

Hello All, Back in Adelaide this weekend from broken hill, so it's cruise time (as good an excuse as any.) Meet place will be the Foodland carpark on Magill Rd, just before the Towr Hotel as you're headding out of town. Meet there after 7:00pm for an 8:00pm departure time. The route should take about 1hour 30 minutes. Catch you there Jordan

$2000 for a complete swap, dam that's uber cheap. I bearly got away for under $3000 upgrading the turbo on mine. Cheers Jordna

Thank you for your kind words, it's been a long road to where it is at the moment. The RB20 AFM will only give usable information on airflow up to about ~230RWkW, and I'd be very happy to see it make 220RWkW. If for some reason that isn't enough, I can always get larger injectors and a standalone ECU like a Wolf 5 or Autronic, as the turbo and everything else are plenty large enough. As I mentioned in the first post I'm moving to broken hill in the morning (Dam 6:30am flight,) but once I can organize to have it tuned (likely to be late next week) I'll have they dyno sheet posted up. I've always planed for this car to basically become a weekend racer, hill sprints, super sprints, regularity, open track days, motorkhana, etc... so hopefully it'll be up to the task. Cheers Jordan

In January 2007 I purchased my 3rd classic Celica, a CA18DET powered TA22 from Queensland, and had it thrown on a truck and delivered to SA. When I bought the car it had a full interior, fairly clean CA18DET installation, running a T28, 13x7" kidney mags, king springs and a god awful SAAS steering wheel. It made 150RWkW @8000RPM on 10PSi. Since then much has changed: (in no particular order) Engine Modifications Forged Pistons, balanced bottom end, metal head gasket and re-con'd head BlackStone Aluminium radiator (see mid 80's V6 Volvo sedan,) using Magna TM radiator hoses and Volvo header tank Late model Camery brake master cylinder 17x12x3" front mount intercooler with 3" mandural piping Catch can, made from 3" pipe, with 2 internal baffles along with a sump return and breather Bosch 910 pressure pump, fed from a surge 2L tank fed by one of those noisy electric low pressure fuel pumps. Shortly I'll be installing my Land Cruiser front brakes, seam rivet or welding the chassis, stiffer springs, dampers and a large order from T3 (techno toy tuning) is on the cards in the next few months. Cheers Jordan[

Adam, you're welcome to enter on the day, and just because it's got a 202 in it doesn't mean it can't enter. It's still a KE20. Personally, I've been wanting to see your car for a while so I'd love for you to bring it down. Cheers JOrdan

if you haven't got linkages sorted yet, get hold of roger form here or Toymods, he made the linkages for my carbie 4AGE setup. It's very good and super easy to install. Looking Good Jordan

I'm there, but will likely miss the cruise due to fear of defect (cops don't look too kindly upon straight out side pipes, big high mount turbos and single seaters,) unless I can get a trade plate for the evening. If it is able to be tune by the end of the week it'll be at the dyno but it will 100% be at the show 'n' shine regardless. Cheers Jordan

2nd Annual Rollaclub Great Ocean Rd Cruise
Jordan replied to TheNOBBLER's topic in The Event Archive
1: I'm moving to Broken Hill next Monday, and have to get things sorted 2: The CAA22 is still in bits and has to be back together by Wednesday evening so it can be tuned :) Cheers Jordan -
it's easier to use a medium sized screw driver. also don't heat the tar, it makes it go all sticky, if anything get dry ice which makes it chip off easily as the cold breaks the bond between the metal and tar. Jordan

only if there is a sign saying so. Unfortunately you'll only find these signs in Canberra. Jordan

would love to come but can't, hope you all have a great time. Jordan -
there is of course the the Toyoshow cruise which I hope you're all attending. Jordan

to change the colour or engine number is simply a form, and required no cost. Only hassle is having to wait in the line jordan

do you have any sound bites (AKA: sound recordings or videos) of this motor when you're giving it a hiding? Cheers Jordan

Finally bothered to read the first post :D If you're going EFI and supercharged and a rebuild, sell this good 2TG for good scratch and then buy a blown one for peanuts and rebuild that. Hell take a trip to U-Pull-it and grab yourself a 3T crank (there are 2 TE72's at the south yard) and a set of 3T pistons to get 1770cc (or buy 89mm wiseco's to get 2L) and do it properly. Cheers Jordan P.S: why not go turbo since you're going EFI?
