  1. I had mine reconditioned for about 90. They pull off the tanks and clean out the tubes in the core, then resolder it all and pressure test it.
  2. I love it that you guys are actually in the shopping centres, at Christmas time, and the worst part of the whole experience is the music. Many Lolz.
  3. High roofed awesome. I want to buy one of these some day, blast around in it for two weeks til I get bored. My mate hat a Toyota Blizzard, rare as rocking horse shit, same platform as the daihatsu scat. Cool as but he sold it before I could get my hands on its mustard and teal goodness.
  4. Get the police report but it won't do shit. If they don't want to pay, it still won't do shit.
  5. George foreman Called 5 of his sons George, and one daughter Georgetta. Frank Zappa called his kids Dweezel and Moonunit
  6. Ahhh crap beat me to it. Nah not a gt 86 either. It'll be in the non Toyota rides section.
  7. Wgmg... Signing the papers to buy a new car and then having to wait for the sucker to arrive haha.
  8. I have a set of 13 inch steel rims that would fit. See my rides thread below. You in Adelaide?
  9. I've not had them polished externally, but Extensive Wheel Services and Adelaide Wheel and Rim works will likely give you prices over the phone.... Funnily enough, they'll be almost the SAME price, which is interesting given they're across the road from one another. Probably wont get much change from 100 bucks a corner out of those guys.
  10. It wont lose it's spring. What you've done is reduced the total amount of 'twist' you can apply to the swaybar. In reality, probably not by a whole lot, but it'd be straightforward to calculate. All a bit to scientific though. How good were your welds, they would be my main concern. Poor welds with pinholes or porosity would have me a little concerned, they could create a stress concentrator and a fatigue failure might happen. It could be a long time down the track as well.
  11. There are 3ks around that are running 130hp at the flywheel. It can certainly be done but you are talking a fairly substantial build, twin carbs, big cam, high compression and some serious head work. I don't know how you will go but if you can find the larger 5k 1500cc that is a better starting point, but will bolt straight in.
  12. How did you weld it? Did you put a full chamfer on the ends and layer multiple welds, or did you just whack a single weld on it?
  13. I saw those roller rockers, that was berserk.
  14. I had my 5k head faced and the ports matched to a 32mm manifold for 150 bucks, which is what some people are asking for a bigport head.
  15. Welsh plug head is a 3k bigport head. Old and overpriced but you can flog them for 150 bucks to some ke70 wannabe drift king!!
  16. Yeh I'm voting tape. Not the bunnings crap though, you want some good 3M high bond tape, they've grange assize range and when applied properly the stuff is tough as. You can get some really thin stuff as well. Sikaflex will be messy and nasty.
  17. Slide hammer all the way. If you can avoid putting screws in you will get the best results. If you have access to a mig or tig you could easily weld some pins to it and use a slide hammer on the pins. Allows for much finer work. If it's a big dent, my panel beater once welded a half chain link to the panel then pulled it out using a chain puller to the frame in the floor, that was for a fully stoved in sill panel.
  18. Oh I hate cracking screens! Did two on my desire, I actually replaced the last one myself, bought genuine parts from the UK and it was pretty straightforward. Wgmg- ATMs that require you to enter the cents as well as dollars. Idiots.
  19. The subforum is called off topic... As in, off the topic of cars.. This thread has a particular topic. You blokes posted 20+ one liners that had nothing to do with WGMG, I read back through them before I killed them. "I'll send you a text tonight" is hardly relevant to the other forum members. This isn't Facebook, it's a moderated forum. Please Respect the other users and stay on topic. Simple.
  20. Willis, Jono. Shut up please. This thread, ironically, has a purpose. It's not your personal chat room. I just blew away 30+ off topic posts.
  21. I actually have a full set of bushes ready to install, I might measure them up before I do put them in.
  22. I think they are the same spline and you'll be able to keep the KE10 column. People swap to the ke20 column because theyre a collapsible item and you don't get harpooned in a car accident. Neither are a bolt in, but they wont take much effort to modify.
  23. Hmm. Simply put, it you're going to the effort to half upright it, you might as well fully upright it.
  24. Not much, if at all. The stock sump pickup can be a little prone to brief starving as it is, uprighting will only compound that. Why do you want to upright anyway?
