  1. I searched long and wide for good enkei Caps. In short, a nice set was gonna set me back more than the rims. I just poked a set of ke30 Toyota centre caps in from behind, fitted nicely enough
  2. Forget the haters, just get in and start chopping.
  3. I've been thinking of cuttin my sway bar and welding multi hole blades on the end. That way I can use rose jointed drop linked to the wishbone and have some adjustment.
  4. Given that it's when you put a foot on the clutch, about the only part doing any actual work is the thurst bearing. The thrust bearing is probably packed with a grease from the factory, and it might just burning off/vapourising any excess in it. Often new industrial bearings can run hot when you first run them and they "bed down" etc, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's not noisy, it will be fine.
  5. looks dangerous. I want one.
  6. I know Colin will back me on this, same thing I tell everyone: Stick with Hydro's. Coil bind is pretty nasty, I'm surprised it took so long to manifest itself this time. What springs are you running?
  7. Yeh I was just razzin ya haha. I get away with a big cam because of the stock flywheel. My car hauls arse though, stil has reasonable bottom end too.
  8. Wgmg: postie bikes.... Bought one for a commuter, day after I regoed, it I ordered bigger main jets. Next will be a zorst, perhaps a paintjob, chopper bars, big bore kit..... And so on. Damn you brain, why can't I just have it to commute, why you gotta make things into projects...
  9. Haters be hatin. Go with big cams and drive it like you stole it.
  10. Yep, I've had good success with autosol as well.
  11. Good one. How long start to finish. You gotta get into the TIG, easy to pickup if you can oxy weld and a hell of a lot nicer welds.
  12. Having done a full resto on ones set and just finished the lips on another set, I can vouch for WHY it costs a bunch of does Lolz.
  13. Mark90 There is a specific means of measuring heights for cars in SA on the DTEI website, it's not as simple as that but it's easy enought. Thanks for that number reed, I might check if they'll go ok over the pits in SA. Where'd you get em?
  14. ACL might not make pistons, but they'll supply them. Pretty sure my Mahle pistons came through ACL. Otherwise it was probably Precision International.
  15. Good good get rid of the roof I never liked it. Keen on a lip but you've done it now so I can't do it lol! Those blocks look mad low, what's the lowest point ground clearance wise? Blocks are legal in S A as long as the clearance Is kosher. Gotta drive mine in the shed for major overhaul soon!
  16. A quick explanation of how a lock works to my mate, who'd never done it before, and he got into a 90s laser in under a minute with a coat hanger. If they want to get in they'll get in.
  17. Razor blades on the water slide and aids infected needles In the cinema seat cushions next up.
  18. Has anyone seen a spec for the pump wear before?
  19. Cool thanks for that. I actually got a Meguiars kit, but it's the ultimate wash not the NXT.
  20. Hi guys picked up a brand new car this week and I'm keen to make sure i keep it in primo condition. I've cut and polished plenty of old bangers before, but that's clearly not way to roll how. Just keen to know: - what's the best way to protect the paint, post wash - good products that people have used before? It's black, so shes gonna need plenty of washing.
  21. Damn if I knew that was in Kyoto I would have checked it out.
  22. Damn not getting the new car til the 27th. Christmas is postponed this year.
  23. I've never had any luck with the generic ones. Best bet Is a wreckers.
  24. Increased bearing load will just shorten their life, that's about it. If they're properly adjusted and greased, they'll last 20,000+ kms. I wouldn't worry about that.
