  1. if your talking 2 speed toyoglide auto, I'm pretty sure the shafts are slighty different lengths, can't remember which was longer tho..
  2. I think this has been covered before, and the answer was no. The early ones are one piece, and having just changed my dash to a new uncracked one :abuse: its a bit of a job taking it out. Personally i like the early style dash over the later one, but its up to you.
  3. Priceless!!!!! Its a buick, eerr sorry Holden V6! One of the most rough as guts engines around.
  4. It’s the one from ebay? Good to see it found a home! Love that brown dash! Keep us posted…
  5. there is a plastic cover plate at the back of the sump, on the front edge of the bell housing, pop this off, and you have access to the bolts, turn the DRive plate/converter to gain access to each bolt. they should just unscrew the normal way. pop it off (the converter) and you'll ahve access to the drive plate(fly wheel).
  6. I think all alternators earth thru the bolt holding it to the block. I don't think the 'E' pin was conected to anything, judging by your pics..
  7. If you don't mind me asking, what did charge for ^said^ work?
  8. Search the FAQ, and the answers will appear...
  9. No there not. Toyo's drive plate has 6 bolts conecting to the stall, and the Tri only has 3. And there also quite different in size.
  10. Works for me now at 845...
  11. VERY NICE! Yeah i thought it was from NZ. they seem to have a lot of 'delux' models over, rite thru to ke55s.
  12. As well as in LIte-aces, fork lifts, starlets, and Daihatsu Charmants! But yes most likely a corolla of some sort. Theres a piece in the FAQ about early and late 4k's and their differences. Can't quite find it at the mo...have a look there
  13. Just wondering where this ke20 is, i'm in canberra, and would like to see it too! maybe get some piccs too!
  14. Just get new ones, they'll be much nicer then 25 year old plus, ones!
  15. In the comedy series "Lano and Woodley" The episode "The Two Men", the boys get in a Green Ke55.
  16. Apologies for missing last night, hope i didn't miss too much....
  17. For me its Penzoil High Milage 25W60. A bit thicker, but i find it works great. Castrol GTX was good, and Helix just seemed to go straight thru! Spose it depends on milage and condition of engine....
  18. Just wondering if anyone still frequents this site anymore????
  19. Thats cool as mate! love to see some pics of the intake manifold. A+
  20. Try and find the starter relay, not sure where it is on a 55, but on a 30 its behind the drivers side kick panel, mite need to replace. try and bypass the immobiliser and see if that works, if so get a new one. last check the switch, ie where the key goes in...
  21. learn something new everyday! Good to know! *Maybe one for the FAQ*
  22. Yep I've come accross the same thing. Pretty much gotta undo the bolts at the front of the pan, get a really big oil catching device, and hope for the best! undoing the tailshaft would take too long. you'll probably will end up with some mess! But thats a holden gearbox for ya!
  23. I think the thread is now gone, but i think he annoyed the wrong people! I'm sure he'll be back.....maybe...... Changes ay???????
  24. Keep an eye out when watching gone in 60 seconds, when they break into the police yard to steal the mercs, I'm sure thats a te31 in the background. Also in 48 hours, when there driving the cadie thru the streets, there are several rollas driving around as well!
  25. Real ones have the VIN start with JG33... 2 doors (XA/B) start with JG66... Same for every GT built between 67 and 75. Check ID plate and VIN on the engine block, or just the rego lable!
