  1. Superglueing the tuning knob of the radio to classic FM as we were sick of listening to techno.....
  2. What head do you currently have? My Screamer 3/4 K had later (i.e: not small big port) valves. I believe Gemini valves fit, or do you have to stay Toyota?
  3. From memory, early K heads : Big ports, small valves, then it went to big port bigger valves, and from that point they're all pretty much the same. No real difference after the early K's.
  4. That top one if memory serves was from a grudge website from someone who made a couple of bad financial desicions and was trying to find someone to blame. Ron Pedder was the target, and the site (no longer active) was ripoffmerchant.net. For what its worth, I've been using Pedders products in my road and race cars for years with no problems. I've been sponsered by Pedders for years, and have found the francise I deal with fantastic, and as I've had stuff go to Melbourne to be made, Melbourne has been great, too. Oh, and the Pedders rally cars use Ohlins from memory, or they could be using MCA these days. A bit like Dick Johnson using Mobil oil products for years, even though he was sponsered by Shell at the time. Seriously, it's the internet, don't believe everything you read.
  5. Please state a price, Regards, Rollaclub Mods.
  6. Of you want it to be reliable, leave it where it is. 10.7:1 is fine.
  7. I don't know about Melbourne, but Heissmanns (sp?) in Sydney are the people to get them rebuilt by.They're I believe also the australian distributor. They'll also do custom valving to suit your purpose. I guarantee that in standard form they'll be better than what you've previously been using. I don't think the part number is right, either. Should possibly be longer? I'd give the above a call anyway.
  8. What fuel are you/ do you want to run?
  9. There was one guy from Cairns on the course who turned 50 while we were down there, he was teaching some of the young blokes how it's all done. They ended up destitute in the gutter as Tony powered on to his next bottle of red! :lolcry:
  10. Not an apprentice, but I just did a five week course where everybody had a laptop with the course notes on it. After lunch on one day, I plugged my mouse into my neighbours laptop, and then spent an hour and a half changing pages every time he looked up. I thought he was going to bury the laptop in my head when he found out. :lolcry:
  11. Gold. I just fell out of my chair.
  12. Spots for the spot welder....
  13. I'm guessing how much of a forum nazi I am, but it'll take me 6 pages to realise it/ de-cypher it.
  14. Pics as soon as I can get it out of the garage. It's like The Castle here ATM.
  15. Cheapest form of motorsport known to man. Redwarf Motorsport is offering up its 1995 Hyundai Excel series car. Single Cam engine. Pedders suspension. MSA built CAMS compliant cage with side intrusion bars. 10 wheels and tyres, including 6 very good Dunlop rally tyres. Terratrip Terraphone Extinguishers 2 Velo Milano seats 3" harnesses 4 Cibie Super Oscar lights in pod mount. Resprayed Toyota Commercial white inside and out at the end of last year. Quality build by an anally retentive aircraft engineer. This car is three events old with outright fastest Excel times in Qld. Only DNF'ed at the last rally due driver illness and I sat the fuel tank on a rock. Surprisingly robust little car that costs about a third of what any of my others cars cost to run. Blue plated and registered for the next six months in Qld. Asking $7000 Car is located on the Northside of Brisbane. Enquire within.
  16. Never buy anything made by "Acme".
  17. Which reminds me: Better people than you have tried, and failed. One thing you learn about being a moderator is to not take anything personally. My job ( and the other mods) is to run the board to the guidelines that the owners of this free meeting place have set out. You don't have to like them. Nor are we asking you to. However, we do ask you to comply with them.
  18. I can't believe this has gone for 6 pages before I've got to see it. I my personal defence, I only hassle poeple who put ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT into making their posts readable. 99.9% percent of posts go through to the keeper. Why? Everybody has different education levels, different keyboard skills, and different levels of being able to express the English language. I'm fine with spelling mistakes. I'm fine with ordinary grammer. 99% of the people here make an effort to be coherent. No problems. I only got to Year 11 at school, but I take the time to spell and punctuate to what I think is an acceptable level because I (generally) have respect for the people who are likely to read it. There is a difference between ability and outright laziness. If you can't be bothered making posts readable, we can't be bothered reading it. Your initial protestations have been noted and considered. *Done from work with no spell check, so don't get up me for spelling. :jamie:
  19. ..... and I pretty much couldn't care less if your thread gets closed, either. From the forum rules that you have agreed to: It's a simple courtesy that we ask. And a bit of respect. :P
  20. and his sleeper. http://www.carsguide.com.au/site/news-and-...tent=newsfooter
  21. I agree. Have another go. How you post on here is a reflection of how much respect you have for others, and conversely, how much they should have for you. Puncuation and spelling please. I'll even donate a few. : /.,?"!!....,;l :blinks:
  22. Being a member here is a privilege not a right. You are no longer welcome here. :)
  23. Which is where you should have started anyway. Your presence here is barely tolerated by the moderating team, you would be best off playing by the rules.
  24. If you didn't like the answer you got the first time, don't keep starting new threads. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...41477&st=30
  25. I refuse to offer an opinion on this until you learn to punctuate.
