  1. Ta. I was going to get all nostalgic as his white car was the first car I ever competed in. Sorry. Back on topic. :D
  2. Yep, Yoko Y352. Made from concrete (lasted forever) with a great open pattern. You may be still able to get the pattern in a remould, but haven't seen for a while. I'm with Col, but probaly a 205/60 -13 for a KE70. 215/75-15 are HUUUUUUGE. I'd be throwing them away. Go buy some remoulds. Cheap, soft and work well. Pattern isn't super important, but of course an open pattern would help. Last set I had were based on a Toyo pattern.
  3. They're the same.
  4. Knowing the type of car would help.....
  5. Col: Is that Batch's original white Corolla?
  6. Not saying you're a dufus, but you are at the beginning (comparitively) of your motorsporting life. I'm 20 years into mine, and I'm still learning. You can always find better ways of doing things. Drive smarter, not harder.
  7. I don't care. Seriously, if you want me to put up my resume, I'd be typing for half a day. You either want advice or you don't. If you don't want to listen to others who've been there and done that, stop wasting our time. BTW: Equipment doesn't equal talent.
  8. I'm not talking overall head size, I'm talking about the leverage holes in the face.
  9. Buy another car. Or: Drive smarter. Drive smoother. Look at your cornering angles. Approach departure. Where should the car be? Where is it? How do I get it to where I want to be? Watch someone faster than you. Where do they drive? How do they drive? What are they doing differently? Do I brake too early? Can I brake later? Do I brake too late? Do I loose speed throught the corner because I'm still trying to scrub off speed? What gear am I in? Could I hold that gear longer? Should I short shift, for a larger gain? There are many, many ways to be faster, rather than abusing equipment.
  10. Seriously, it's not going to give you any meaningful gains.
  11. Or the cheap and nasty method, measure the leverage depressions. On an unmolested one they should be around .125.
  12. Have taken anything up to .125 (3mm) off one. When the leverage holes disappear from the side of the head, that's about it. Take .040 to .060 (1-1.5mm) off it and you'll be fine.
  13. Shoe horns are available in aisle 5. :D Is it going around corners, or just in a straight line?
  14. May have a couple......
  15. No. Change normally. It wont make you any faster, and the equipment will last longer. You sound like you're heading in the wrong direction. Smooth is what you need to be. Smooth is fast.
  16. Re-opened for Razza to have right of reply. I'd appreciate it if others stayed out. Regards, R
  17. I resemble that remark. ;) Forward a PM to Irokin. :D :edit: No it wasn't me.
  18. That's interesting. I never use anything other than NGK's. Bosch were the one's that used to give me grief. Shuld have been BP5ES? (or similar, that's just off the top of my head....)
  19. Gday, and welcome to rollaclub. A couple of handy hints for you so that you time here will be well spent. Search and you shall seek. Many topics have been covered before. The rides and projects threads are a wealth of knowledge, and if it's not covered somewhere in there, then it probably can't be done. Try putting more info into you post. We can make many different suggestions, but if you only have $300, not many of them will be practical. You have to keep in mind that we get asked very opened ended questions like yours about once a day at the moment, so if you don't have a think about the questions you ask, you're not going to get answers you're happy with. Regards Dwarf
  20. Depends on your application. For outright performance, side draft is better than down IMHO. Weber and Dellorto are about the same, although parts for Dellortos are more expensve and sometimes harder to get. Solexs make good paper weights. SU's I've found to be very under rated. I had a set of 1.5's and they were great. If you want driveability and something like fuel economy, down draft weber. If you want to suck in shrubs and small children as you drive by, side draft.
  21. This article was found earlier and has been a point of discussion in Moderatorland. I think the line that should be most concerning is this one: Now, if you have organised your cruise on Rollaclub, and 250 of your best and nearst friends have turned up, and half a dozen of them decide to "show... what your car is made of" where does that leave you, the organiser in the big scheme of things? Following on from that, where does it leave Rollaclub as the conduit for organising said event? The is not and should not be anything illegal about going for a drive in your car. The problem stems from people carrying out illegal activities whilst on the cruise. NO excuse can be or should be allowed for said activities and bringing disrepute upon the modified car scene as a whole. Thoughts?
  22. Who's playing? ;)
  23. You seriously need to watch better quality movies.
  24. Given the IP is from Pakistan, I feel it may noot be his first language.
