  1. Evan, every 3 K I've ever owned had a screw in....... 19080 it's going to be a KE55S with a 4K. Don't be disappointed, there's no substitute for cubic inches! They traditionally rust around the rear wheel arches and in the rear guards. Look for something that looks like mayonaise in the oil cap and in the radiator water. Minor engine oil leaks should be okay, once again, traditionally they can leak a bit of oil. If it looks okay, it should be okay.
  2. Already happens, when I catch them. And for the ones I don't catch, hit the report button. While we're at it, posting crap in for sales and "free bumps" are on the rise, too, so there's a mini crack down on that ATM as well.
  3. The bike is only 30mm high, you do know that?
  4. I'll lend you my five year old. He's better at that kind of stuff than I am!
  5. You alrady have another thread for this (and at a cheaper price) here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=40549 :laff:
  6. Yes they may be worth more, but not a whole lot more when you compare them to a decent tradesman. And tell me, when redundancy time comes around and you've had the copper handshake (no more golden ones these days), what qualifications do you have to show for it?
  7. If it gets him more sponsership, I'm off to buy a couple of kilos of Mentos.
  8. A....!??!! D.....?? Y.... B..... f@$k it. I'm off for a Bex and a lie down.
  9. What's up my arse is no matter how many times you're told NO, you still won't listen. There are no, never has been, and probably never will be any other heads that will fit a K motor from another engine. I've already answered your question twice. Do you want a resume to tell you how much experience I have on these motors so you will finally believe someone?? And no, Evan doesn't annoy me. We have an understanding. ;)
  10. Seriously, which bit of "no" are you currently not understanding?
  11. Many years ago I got flogged from one end of Deniliquin Autocross to the other by one of those puppies. Worked REALLY well on the little 700cc ish donk. Very impressive. Now back to regular viewing. ;)
  12. K series heads fit on K series blocks. That's as good as you'll get.
  13. Start here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=2341 and work from there. ;)
  14. We don't need earthquakes. We have cyclones. The last one did 30 mill worth of improvement to Mackay (If you've ever been there, you'd agree!). I would also like to state that Mackay is the epicentre of all bad driving in this country. :jamie:
  15. I hear it did a couple of hundred thousand dollars worth of improvement to the place... :jamie:
  16. 1:Given the ready availability of aftermarket springs, don't bother with Falcons. 2: Cutting springs is illegal, dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, voids your insurance and gets you defect notices. Don't do it. Rollaclub in no way endorses the cutting of any sort springs. Spend some money and do it properly.
  17. Yes they do. Sort of. Unless you know someone really talented in a machne shop, don't do it. I have one of these beasties and it's not an easy thing to do. Cost me several thousand to build mine, and that was a 10 years ago.

    Hill Climb

Some places ask for it, nowever the manual staes only if it's in a non standard position. Can be done on the day with electrical tape. Good luck and have a blast! :(
  19. Rollaclub does not and will not endorse or assist in people doing illegal and dangerous modifications to their vehicles. Thread closed.
  20. I honestly can't see that making any difference whatsoever from a structural point of view. Save your money and buy something worthwhile.

    Hill Climb

^^^^^ Yep. If possible get one of them to walk the track with you, and get them to point out where on the track you need to be. Where you think you should be, and where you ought to be are often two seperate things.

    Hill Climb

Don't worry about octane boost, playing with tyre pressures, or screwing with anything on the day. Fill it full of fuel, set your pressures at about 40 before you leave home and simply concentrate on driving. That will be a big enough learning curve on the day without having to worry about everything else. As Taz said, read the CAMS regs, and also the event supp regs, as some hillclimbs (especially up here) have certain extra things they need the car to comply with. And don't forget to have fun.
  23. I used the maglite as a back up when my good torch ran out of charge. This is what I use mostly: http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=12 and my new backup: http://www.ledlenser.com.au/2009/ENG/produ...ie/p7.php?id=p7 Working permanent nights, you appreciate a good torch. :D
