  1. ....add to that the Land Cruiser which is now just plain ridiculous. The Prado which has gone backwards with the current model (waited for them to come out, cash in hand ready to buy. Sooooo disappointed) and the Kluger, which credit where its due, is possibly the best thing Toyota currently produce. Although that isn't hard. Oh, and the Hilux, which is still an ordinary drive, and only bought by people who haven't taken any of the competition for a drive. Even my old Boss (who I instructed for) who was a "If I'm going to hell I'm going in a Hilux" kind of guy, has just bought 4 Mitsubishis 4WD's for his company. Why? "Better car for the money, and a better warranty".

    Jdm?

^^^^ I quite like that. Can I use it or do you have copyright? ;)
  3. We tried to protect you, but no, you wouldn't listen. Trading post, carsales.com.au, here (go look in the classfied areas) will give you an idea of market value. Seriously, a one sentence (albeit long sentence) description and no photos is not going to get you anywhere. Work out what it owes you and ask for a third. That's the modified car rule on pricing. Other than that, it's whatever the market dictates at that time. This thread has run its course. ;)
  4. The reason I say the above is because Monotorque gaskets used to have a different torque to factory.
  5. Strange. I have never used a Toyota Genuine one, and the one's I have used have without exception always had the torque info on them.
  6. As you will be putting a new Head gasket on, it should state the correct torque and procedure on the packaging.
  7. Having raced 20's and 30's for nearly 20 years, never really required it. Putting a bias valve in would be far easier if you want something to play with.
  8. Bitumen motorkhanas: about 18 minutes of competition. :blinks: Dirt Motorkhanas: Never really explored the wear factor here, as usually they went and did a few bitumen events as well, and that was them gone. Your wear is also going to be dependent upon the track you are using. For example. About two or three career changes ago, I used to drive for the Holden Precision Drive Team. All our shows were on grass or speedway or trotting tracks. At Sydney show, I used to replace the rears every 10 days or so. (Two shows a day.) give or take a day. Rockhampton Show was on a very compacted speedway track. Three days for a pair of rears, Three shows a day. We used to leave black marks on the dirt. My guess is that you will get quite a number of events out of them before they either go soft, or go off. It also depends on how they're stored. Leave them in the sun while the cars not used, go off quicker. Store in dark dry place, last longer. Sooooooo many factors to think about.
  9. I'm innocent... (for once...)
  10. From the rules that You have agreed to: Feel free to readvertise in a couple of days. :blinks:
  11. Go buy hot off the press remoulds. That's what I used to do for state level and national championship motorkhanas. Work well on tar or dirt. I used to get three bitumen motorkhanas out of a pair. :blinks:
  12. I don't mind some spelling mistakes, I don't mind roughish sentences. I detest SMS speak with a passion, and I detest lack of punctuation. If I go to the trouble of replying in a clear manner, I would like to courtesy of being replied to in the same. I have a year 11 education, and I can string together words reasonably competantly. "Bt I'm posting on n iphone i hv 2 txt spk" doesn't cut it. I actually think the way you post is a reflection of your attitude/ respect towards to rest of the board.
  13. It is indeed. I used to have a pair of Belletts myself. 2 x 67's. One of them still had the plastic on the back doors. :jamie:
  14. You got me. I thought the car below was a Tatra 613 Special, but I'm wrong. Looks Japanese with the remains(?) of rear veiw mirrors on the front guards. Please help... :jamie:
  15. That is all just soooooo cool. I could easily spend days wandering around there. There's an old Skoda I've never seen before, a Tatra, the NSU's. The guys got some rare stuff.
  16. Fourth from the top is an NSU Prinz. :jamie: Edit: as is the one next to the Mini.
  17. We wouldn't do that to you Leslie. :jamie: To be honest, I don't know where it should go either. I might pop it over to Automotive discussion, it seems a better place than classifieds (even though I know things are for sale.....) As an aside, If anyone wants to know the true horror of working on British cars, they nee to get one of these. Diff or engine removal required to pull out the tailshaft.......
  18. Maybe. If the gearbox is out of a 70, the shifter will be in the wrong position. If the box is out of a 55, you should be fine. If the engine is out of a 70, use your original mounts, otherwise it's all a bolt in job.
  19. I'd steer away from one of the sporting car clubs then. I don't know what the governing body is for the V/V's up here (it's the AOMC in Victoria.....) or the Hot rodders. Someone like Curly may be able to help on that one, as I think his interests are more diversified than mine....
  20. You can donate to help keep the board going, however Rollaclub is not a "car club" as such. Therefore we are not able to participate in the special interest rego scheme. You would need to belong to a club affiliated with one of the QT recognised bodies (CAMS, Hot Rodders, vintage/ veteran car clubs etc.) I have one car on special interest rego, and I can tell you most clubs guard this privilege quite closely. What do you want to get rego'd? Bare in mind that cars on special interest plates in Qld still require RWC's/ Blue plates etc to get registered....
  21. Good price, although it looks like they could do with some TLC.
  22. Gday, I know you want swaps, but all items need to be accompanied by a price. This will also give others an idea of what you value your car at, and the value of what you want you want your swap to be. Regards, Rollaclub Mods.
  23. Looks like it's been backed into with a tray truck. Excellent parts car for the right price....
  24. Gday, Above post removed to prevent any possible liability or litigation issues of you having named and defamed an individual in a public place. There are ways and means of doing things. This is not the place to do it. Regards, Dwarf. :)
