  1. I used to use Z9's on my 3K. :lolcry:
  2. After 20 years of raping all manner of vehicles, most with aftermarket filters, I can honestly say I have never had a single issue.

  4. I've dealt with Hitachi's a couple of times, and all they've ever caused me is immense nausea. Serious, painful, heartbreaking nausea. Try to stick with the genuine SU's. There's bulk parts, needles and kits out there to service them, and if you find a carbie guy over the age of 40, he can get them running like new. I had 1.5 SU's on a hot 3K and they were great. One trip to the dyno and I didn't touch them again.
  5. Sorry about that. I don't know what made us do it.
  6. Gday Andrew. I remember, you got the orange doors off me. I've got a 13/16th GD gallant master in mine now, but I can't tell you what it's like, as I haven't used it in anger yet. Oooh, I have a Mazda 323 item down stairs, twin system that should do the job. I couldn't use it as I've got the Levin pedals in mine, and it moved the master across to the strut tower and I lost clearance. It would be good in the original position though. I'll find out the size for it if you like.
  7. Is that Peter Moll's old car? If it is, there's probably still odd bits of my cars in that. :)
  8. A few questions need to be answered: What are your fabrication skills like? What is the car going to be used for? Why don't you just buy a Datsun? LSD's can be had with a lot less rooting around than putting IRS in. I've been a party to linking and turreting an Escort to Group 4 specs, and it's not easy, but I hazard to say, easier than IRS'ing one. IMHO it's not worth the time and energy. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
  9. Linky no worky. However if linky did worky, I think I know the car you're on about. 70's? Rear drive? Found the right link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mitsubis..._GTO-MR_001.JPG I know a guy with three of these, and another guy who had one as a Group G rally car. Good bit of kit, quick and reasonably agile. Rare in Aus as they never came here as such. AFAIK most that are here came from NZ or were personal imports. Most parts that are availbe seem to come from NZ, where there is to my knowledge a fairly active club and parts system. Don't hold your breath if you want to buy one. Rare is not the word for them, and they do rust badly. Diabolically hard to find a good one.
  10. Strike three. Can't imagine what I've been doing wrong all these years.......
  11. Strike two. One moderator has asked you to make your posts clearer, now I am. From the rules you have agreed to: and Please make an effort to make your posts clearer. Regards, Rollaclub Mods.
  12. Yes you can, BUT: Thou shalt not: Exceed the Gross carrying capacity of the tralier. As stated above, careful with the ball weights And make sure the tyres on the trail can handle the weight of the trailer plus the car. Otherwise REALLY bad things will happen. I prefer dual axle myself.
  13. Only those that are tired of life.
  14. You'll need an upgrade if you want to stop in anger more than once. Big is better.
  15. Find where it valve bounces, and set it a couple of hundred under that.
  16. I must ask one of my mates if he's missing the turbo off one of his Freightliners! Time + Talent + Attention to detail =
  17. I can't play porn at work, I'll have to wait until I get home.
  18. Your ae86.. :)
  19. I hate to tell you this, but the steering wheel is on the wrong side. :)
  20. About $1000!! :) *sigh* I crack myself up.......

Dear. God. This is the first time I've looked in here for a (long) while, and I'm gob smacked. A testament to time, detail and skill. Kudos. R
  22. Been there, done that, feet didn't touch the floor. :locked:
  23. Google "Austin Champ". :P
  24. I personally think that the singular of "sheep" should be "shoop", Like geese and goose, but hey that 's just me. :hmm:
  25. Gday, and welcome to rollaclub. A couple of handy hints for you so that you time here will be well spent. The main one is make your posts readable to anyone over the age of 25. SMS speak is a pain to anyone not used to it, and as older people are more likely to have the answers you seek, you're excluding a large slab of experience when you do so. Spelling and punctuation are your friends. The other one is search and you shall seek. Many topics (especially this one) have been covered before. The rides and projects threads are a wealth of knowledge, and if it's not covered somewhere in there, then it probably can't be done. Try putting more info into you post. We can make many different suggestions, but if you only have $300, not many of them will be practical. You have to keep in mind that we get asked very opened ended questions like yours about once a day at the moment, so if you don't have a think about the questions you ask, you're not going to get answers you're happy with. Faq is a link at the top of the page. Press it and a whole lot of information will open up to you. Regards Dwarf
