  1. any1 but me repping a celica?
  2. Question: With a Suck Through setup what sort of fuel pump setup should i be looking at, obviously its not as necassary to have fuel pressure rise to keep above boost levels, but should i still use a riseing rate regulator so that the engine gets more fuel when it needs it? what other sorts of fuel setups could be used for suck through?
  3. you can get new masters for ae71's here for like 30 bucks, same as sprinter one
  4. map sensor instead of air flow sensor, larger throttle bodies, higher compression, more inlet cam lift larger exhuast ports
  5. lmao
  6. not 100 percent but i think the black top just has higher compression theres probs more than just that tho
  7. he means set the cold clearences to that which is 0.2mm and 0.3mm and it should start, if its not starting it wont be to do with clearences, then once you sort out starting troubles, reset the clearences when its warm good to know my book isnt wrong
  8. cool cool,
  9. what if i drive like a rock ape at times(some track use planned) and looking at about 60rwkw(hopeing lol) sc12 4k
  10. hey everyone, ive got a manual here for a ke70, but it is a USA manual, the stuff in it is still for a 4kc but someone asked me what the valve clearences were for a 4k and i told them the hot clearences as it said in the book, which were intake: 0.2mm exhaust 0.3mm then someone else told them it was 0.25 exhaust anyway does someone have a more reliable source for what the clearences actually should be hot and cold, cold is needed for ke30myles as he hasnt got his motor to start and needs to redo the clearences. cheers -Alex
  11. just out of interest how much power do you need to be putting out to start smashing k boxes reliably? and how much do the k-t bellhouseings go for?
  12. yeah has return line, exactly the same test the pump by taking it out, connecting a hose to the inlet and into a jerrycan of petrol then press the lever bit down on the ground and push it to pump it and it should squirt out the fitting that goes to the carby if it works, if not then its buggered, weird that yours did not have a spacer previously? maybe your pump has a shorter lever bit, measure the lngth of it and ill measure mine as i got a couple in the shed if it worked before without a spacer maybe it will work again with out one?
  13. sick so engine swap went alright?
  14. fuel should just squirt out, doesnt need vacuum other than that can't help you
  15. First set of calculation. 7psi boost @ 5000EngineRPM on a 1300 motor(4k) 1.3 X 5000rpm = 6500 litres/minute...divided by 2 to get actual amount... 6500/2 = 3250 litres/min engines air req at 0psi boost 14.7psi atmospheric pressure + 7psi desired boost = 21.7psi boost ratio = 21.7/14.7= 1.476 actual air requirements for 7psi boost at 5000rpm = 3250litr/min X 1.476 = 4797 litr/min rpm needed by sc12(1.2 litre swept volume) for 7 psi boost at 5000rpm 4797/1.2 litres = 3997.5 rpm pulley size ratio = 3997.5/5000rpm = 0.799 So circumference of crank pulley would have to be 79% of the circumference of the SC pulley Second set of Calculations. 7psi boost @ 3000EngineRPM on a 1300 motor(4k) 1.3 X 3000rpm = 3900 litres/minute divided by 2 for actual amount... 3900/2 = 1950 litres/min engines air req at 0 psi boost 14.7psi atmospheric pressure + 7psi desired boost = 21.7psi boost ratio = 21.7/14.7= 1.476 actual air requirements for 7psi boost at 3000rpm = 1950litr/min X 1.476 = 2878.2 litr/min rpm needed by sc12(1.2 litre swept volume) for 7 psi boost at 3000rpm 2878.2/1.2 litres = 2398.5 rpm pulley size ratio = 2398.5/3000rpm = 0.799 So circumference of crank pulley would have to be 79% of the circumference of the SC pulley TA DAH! :) same result from different engine rpm and just so people know i don't say darn my last post was edited automatically lol :)
  16. i havnt checked but I'm prety sure if you did 2 calculations at say 5000 rpm and 3000 rpm useing those calcs then you would get the same or similar answer, because the sc rpm to engine ratio will be the same stil... darn it I'm gunna do it, il post my calculations here once ive done it in notepad lol

    Spotted

spotted a mustard ke25 with a black bonnet i think, on hanson road earlier today, i went past the other way in the ra40 with the broken exhaust,
  18. hot box gasket what is the point of the inlet being botled to the headers apart form extra sturdyness? so if you have custom inlet and stock headers you will have a leak? i didint realise this
  19. ah yeah, i hope those calcs are for positive displacement ones
  20. for an sc12, they are positive displacement no?
  21. ive seen xt130's with rolla 13inch csx mags on em so yeah.. falken ke30, you have ra40 struts in your car did you put the ke30 spring perch on the struts? or what? tho this is a brake upgrade thread id love to see a picture of an ra40/xt strut next to a ke30 strut next to an 86 strut
  22. Will be there in the marone Ra40 i would bring one of the rollas but the 30 runs of rego and 70 has a BHG will be good to meet some heads
  23. cool, yeah i reckon they will go in fine prety sure ra40 stuff is same as xt130 and thats been done in ke70's give it a go
  24. wait, where do ra40 struts come into the equasion lol. are they in your ke30? if youve got them in your 30' id say its entirly possible to put them into your 70 also what control arms do you have with them in your 30?
  25. UPDATE, see first post |blink|
