  1. a standard one can be had for cheap, but as an upgrade you could get a weber of some sort,
  2. mmm sexy looks a heap better than stockies any plans to lower it a little more?
  3. ive got no personal knowledge on d2 items but ive heard a lot of bad things
  4. not sure about ke10 but i think auto ke30 with jap diffs had a 4.1 if u want abit longer ratio maybe get a 3.9. would be slightly better for high speed cruiseing depending on how long the auto gears are u might want a 3.7 my ke70 with a 4k and a 3.9 and 4 speed revs its head off at 100k's in 4th
  5. ahh fair enough don't realy have a budget, don't have the all the money at the moment id rather not put a price on it haha. but yeah each small pay i get I'm putting a descen amount towards this,
  6. cool cool, ive never reconned a carby before but i imagine it can't be to hard. for the amount of boost i am going to be running would it be necassary to swap the needle and seat and much work on the jets?
  7. yeah, rebuild, get cam reground, bigger exhuast, weber get jets rejetted and tuned, what state u in mate? personaly I'm planning on rebuiulding and suiperhcarging but I'm guessing u can't run boost at all?
  8. ah fair enough, with the weber i know you had a big box around the whole thing is this necassary or could i do it with just a top hat? also did u get the weber re-jetted, also whats the price for 32/32 webers, because its sounding like a good option. and yeah that fuel setup thread was real helpful. not sure what solex but apparently they have plastic float bowls that wont crush as easily. anyway, any other carbys worth considering?
  9. hey guys yes i have used search so don't flame. anyway, just wondering what sorts of carby options do i have for boost on a k motor. talking to a mate said a weber would be no good as the float is brass and would just crush with boost also said that a solex might be alright anyway, discuss. -cheers Alex Edit: should probs add abit more details it will be useing an sc12 supercharger on a blow through setup, running 4-5psi boost
  10. on a ke70 they are removable, if ur talking about the green bit with the slits
  11. front setup stock cut rear falcon springs 240mm free height HQ monroe gas shocks, nice and stiff, and short stroke, but not extreme like sierras
  12. yeah those rims come on 30's 55's and 70's the trim rings for a good nick set maybe 30 bucks for the wheels them selves, almost nothing, just whatever the tyres are worth just keep them, always good to have a spare set of wheels anyway
  13. hay man, my dads got a 5k powered ke30 rolla, the other day he said he was thinking about selling it, i might buy it back off him but if i don't ill let u know, probs wants 500ish for it. average condition motor, but its stil a 5k
  14. funny about that, would the same thing apply to a low boost supercharged setup like 4psi-ish?
  15. ae86 ones are actualy not worth as much as they have to be modded to go into a ke70 No will need an ae71 corssmember, i also believe an 86 item wont work, the bolt holes don't line up i was told
  16. hmm, not sure what they are but if ther shorter then thats increased lock for all those ke70 drivers out there who cbf'd getting 86 gear
  17. nice what cam specs? form doing a little bit of reading ive heard that with a supercharger because they create more torque its not always a good idea to have a hugely modded cam? sounds like your motor should be sweet once finished. if i ever get around to doing one it will probs just have a quick rebuild, webber, and some porting of head/manifold. maybe a reground cam, have to do more research first, still getting used to this boosting a k motor idea lol
  18. are you going to be doing a blow through setup? what carby/fuel setup blah blah blah will you be useing? I'm thinking about superchargeing my 4k, i would turbo charge but i don't have a welder and can't weld, so supercharging would be a fair bit easier. -Alex
  19. hmmm, take the fuel pump out, but keep it connected to the fuel lines, (except the line that goes to the carby) then pump it with your hand. to see if you can operate it and get fuel to come out of the top. if it doesnt work then u know thats ur problem you can get pumps from most wreckers as ke70's are fairly common, when i got one for my 5k a while ago, same pump. was 25$ from the local one. ther are 2 kinds for k motors, once iwth a return and ones without just get the right one for your car.
  20. was in another thread and had a pic of his setup also noticed his sig lol my mistake
  21. are you being serious? its clearly evident that you can, it may not always have the best results in power increases, or if it does, then usually reliability suffers but yeah, its been done.
  22. hey man could you pm me details on your turbo setup I'm wanting to save up a bit of dosh and get one made up, cheers -Alex
  23. ah k cheers, sounds like ill just grab another cluster from the wreckers.
  24. hey everyone i just got myself a cheap ea falcon wagon. anyway the speedo works, but the odometer doesnt. so how would i go about fixing this? would i need a replacement guage/cluster or is it an easy fix does anyone know? -Alex
