  1. Finally got the engine running yesterday!! Sounds mad XD Thanks for your help Matt (Madrolla). I got a video but I'm having trouble uploading it to youtube or facebook :fuzz: Now all I have to do is: clean up the engine again, put the rad in, fill the gearbox with oil, make up a new throttle linkage to connect to the twins, fit the fuel tank and hoses, get the gearbox sensor modified to drive the new gauges, finish the last bits of paint, put the windows in, drill new holes for the badges (including bootlid), fit the KE70 disc break setup, fit the front panels, fit the new gauges, put the seats & trim in, fit the subs into the boot, put the stripes on, get the new deck & alarm fitted (still deciding where to go??)... I'm sure I've miss lots of other stuff :D
  2. OK will get the A12 push rods shortened.
  3. Ok, both options require me to change my setup... Is their any reason why my holden lifters/ 3k rocker assembly won't work if I get the correct size push rods??
  4. Felix, what did you use?????????
  5. Did a bit of a search, no-one on here has converted to solid lifters and kept the 5K head. If they have, they didn't write about it :) I don't trust the hydraulic pushrods, they feel like they would bend if used with a solid lifter...
  6. FYI: I have the holden/chev lifters.
  7. Thank you, that was extremely unhelpful!
  8. Well that would have been handy to know earlier!! :) Anyone know of pushrods that fit, or do I have to make/modify??
  9. Sounds like the dizzy I'm using, advance mechanism seams fine. Yep running a 5k head. It was a completely unmolested 5k before I got it :)
  10. OK thanks. We went with the 3k points dizzy. Somethings not right, we can make her backfire, so we tried the leads the other way around and it almost started, blew smoke out the rocker cover breather and she spits a lot of fuel out of the twin carbies... I had some 3mm spacers made to go under the 3k rocker assembly as the Datto A12 pushrods were too long. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the issue, but I'll get some correct length pushrods made and get rid of the spacers. Also the back linkage on the twins got snapped when we put the engine in the car :) The list just never ends... EDIT: We've figured out whats wrong!! because we put 3mm spacers under the rocker assembly the valves arent opening properly :) Pushrods should fix the problem :y: Now to find a linkage...
  11. Hi all, Trying to finally get my beast running. We're hooking up all the wires and need to know what the second wire on the elec dizzy goes to?? 1 to the Coil, second wire???? Hoping to get an answer (correct answer) in a couple of minutes :)
  12. Spotted a overrated light yellow KE20 yesterday on Abernathy Rd about 5pm. Venetian in the back window, I think it had whitewalls... very nice!!
  13. Side profile has a Koenigsegg feel to it.
  14. Thanks guys. As the car is to be a Sunday driver keeping it clean shouldn't be too hard.
  15. Got 20Ltrs of Trans fluid on the way... should last me a while. Edit: New stainless steel data plate is ready for collection!! :jamie:
  16. Yeh thanks Felix, and everyone else. Should have the new mount Mon-Tue.
  17. OK updates.. Engine in The twin chrome air filters are growing on me... New data plate ordered (old on was scungy). Gearbox mount ordered. Will remove the fan on the front and fit a thermo to the rad... less drag :jamie: Buying some fuel hoses, and wire loom conduit tonight. Need to order new rear quarter rubbers. Need new heater tap & hoses Ordering a red metal fuel filter and a red metal rad overflow container off Ebay. That'll do for now...
  18. Fantastic, Coventrys had the mount for KE20!
  19. I'm not a member. If you could ask for me that would be great.
  20. Thanks... that doesn't help, unless you have one to spare?
  21. I can get a KE20 mount, can anyone confirm if this will fit?
  22. NICE!!! I want that air cleaner for my twins! Man these things are soooo rare! Just looked at the pics again, where is the opening on the air filter housing??
  23. Trying to source this gearbox mount is pissing me off!! I have no idea how I'm going to measure the height required if I have to make it...
  24. Anyone able to take measurements for me? I think I'm going to have to make them.
  25. Tried Toyota, Coventrys, Rare spares, Autopro & Scotts Old Auto Rubber... No joy :D
