  1. I couldn't agree more. I know the moderators have enough to do already, but would be great if it was added to the posting conditions on for sale items. No price means delete. If you don't like it, stick it on ebay.
  2. That's easy. Don't use the head gasket in the set, put a TRD metal one on instead.
  3. I bought a cheap bigport full set off a UK seller ages ago. Even with post it was really cheap. Main factor for me was that I wanted the OEM style metal gaskets for the inlets. The ACL set I looked at via repco at the time had fibre inlet gaskets
  4. Pushed in the clutch pedal on my Datsun 1600 and...........nothing happened. Pull over, get out of car and look underneath. Clutch slave is hanging down after the bolts fell out of the stripped threads in the bellhousing - always meant to do something about that. Hmm, is that a Bunnings over there? 20 minutes later happily driving off again. The fix? Two dyna bolts. Did such a good job, I never bothered taking them out again.
  5. Have a look in the boot. There will be some plastic plugs in the carpet. Failing that, lift the carpet and look for the threaded holes.
  6. You would probably get good money for the 18RG, which you can use to buy your 4AGE
  7. Covernote. You need to ring an insurance company and arrange it over the phone. Covers you for a limited period. Make sure you check any conditions.
  8. If it isn't connected you will have no vacuum advance. Should be a vacuum take of at the base of your carby.
  9. If it was fitted to the car by the manufacturer, that means it has been through ADR's in that specification. The reason aftermarket spacers are illegal, is that they have not been through ADR certification.
  10. Download the 4AGE manual from here, from memory it has all the 4AC stuff in it too. http://www.aeu86.org/index/technical-ae86-...at/9/topic=5158
  11. Awaits developments with interest! Kehendo now appears in my phone book as kehendoMS55! Just in case.
  12. Don't you love it when you look in a parts catalogue and KE20 and earlier no longer exists......
  13. No! Only use this technique on a car at the wreckers, or if you are going to change the seal on your own car and want to protect your own trims.
  14. Easiest was to get them out without damage, is to get a very sharp stanley knife, lay it over on its side using the chrome trim as a guide, and shave off the top of the outer aspect of the windscreen seal all the way around. You can then easily remove the chrome. Quick and easy, just keep your fingers out of the way.
  15. You are a legend! And I mean it. I shall keep a look out on my regular pickies visits, though I suspect you will be there even more than me. There was an old crown at Centre rd a couple of weeks or so ago, though I don't know which model. I got excited as I found an engine bay light complete with glass dome in it.
  16. Tas AE71, I think you will find people are referring to the centres, not the entire rear end.
  17. Pickapart wreckers are full of KE30's. Just get some from there.
  18. Here you go http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=32385 Note that Auspost price was for a rim only, not with a tyre. Plus each needs to be individually boxed.
  19. There was a whole thread on this only a couple of weeks back. Have a scroll down. Individual rims by Aus Post are about $14 each but if they have tyres, you will need to use a courier.
  20. Well the KE25 has finally gone at Pick Pay n Go, god rest it's soul. Though realistically nearly all of it is now in my shed anyway. Has been replaced by yet another KE30. Modern rubbish.
  21. Acid dipping won't damage the alloy? I have some intra alloys I need to clean up, mainly crappy peeling lacquer.
  22. Make sure you get one that has the matching plug to your loom. The later bigports have a different loom plug. Various map sensed Toyota's of the same era had the same MAP sensor, just with variations on the bracket. I have proper AE86 ones, AE82 twincam and another of some other Toyota I found at pickapart. All work just the same.
  23. As if they would know. Cordless drill to drill out the spot welds and cordless angle grinder for the rest. Both available very cheaply at bunnings
