Ok, here is the story from last weekend, Medicine Man rocked around, I opened the bonnet, Medicine Man looked at the engine, and said something along the lines of "hmmm ... ahhhhhh" and then grabbed a spanner, put it into the engine bay and then said "your car will now work off the iginition key" .... and I was like "pfffttttt can't be that easy", .. so Medicine Man plugged up the battery and asked me to turn the key, which I did and the car started to crank over like it should, BUT! it didn't start.... Medicine Man then opened his tool box, replaced the spanner with a multi-meter and verified everything should be working as normal and then the Medicine Man said, "it's not getting any fuel" and I was like "pfffftt I poured 10ltrs of fuel into, its got fuel", Medicine Man looked at me like this: :rolls: and then showed me that the fuel rail was bone dry.... it was hot so we retreated inside for some cold beer and chicken with salad. Anyhow, Medicine Man said we can't just give up after coming so far... so whilst pondering these words Medicine man already pulled apart the rear interior and exposed the fuel tank looking for the fuel pump, however the fuel pump isn't accessable via under the rear seats so before I knew it the rear of the car was being jacked up (then it fell off the sissor jack! heh) anyways we managed to get it up and onto some axle stands, couple of bolts removed the tank was dropped to see if we could find the problem: <-- Found it! Then I asked my wife to jump into the car to steer it whilst we pushed it around the backyard making turbo wooossshhh sounds .. and when it was out of the way we then pushed the parts car out: We lifted the parts car up onto axle stands and dropped the fuel tank out of it: Then we swapped the fuel tanks over, connected all the plugs and then we pumped the shitty fuel out of the fuel lines and when finished and re-connected everything, Medicine Man asked me to turn the key, and first go, Maxi turned over no problems! Until I got so excited and reved it hard that a massive spark blew out of the engine bay... and this is a learning experiance, when fitting a loom make sure you bolt down and tighten everything! I didn't and the alternator plug was loose.. woops! Then the heater hose started shooting coolant all over the place... so we called it a night. Pics from the day Medicine Man and me worked on Rolla. Medicine Man's Beast in the backyard jungle: Maxi:

They will get a surpirse soon enough :fuzz: Would you believe my bad luck streak continued that week with a truck running into the side of my Astra, thankfully I pulled up before he did any real damage besides scratching my drivers side door mirror when he merged on me without looking! I knew the extent of the damage was scratched mirror at the time, but I seriously was that over it (over everything) I kept driving to work and didn't do anything about it, ... hehehehe :laff: Hey man, I hope their treating you well! I have to organise rego... (hear that Carbonboy!!) and a Rollaclub cruise .. at the moment I've got to work out how to upload the pics from my phone to PC and put them up... also want to put up a video too :)

Anyhow, getting back on topic - let me recap - Original JDM 1989 - Toyota Corolla II GP Turbo with a 4EFTE starlet GT engine conversion, I went from from the origina 3ETE 1.5ltr SOHC 12value Turbo to the 1.3ltr DOHC 16v Turbo, The engine conversion was done by dodgy brothers, and they didn't replace the ECU After about a month or so the 4EFTE developed some wild problems, including major over-fueling, blown turbo, radiator top busted. The shockies blew out and a hole developed in the exhaust... After moving house several times and having other expenses, the Corolla was put aside, until now, 4/5yrs later where I found a way to have resources and time to get it back on the road. Resources via a parts car that was exchanged for a carton of beer. The parts car has a 4EFTE engine conversion so I stole it's ECU plugs and put them on the 3ETE engine loom, and that pretty much brings me up until now, ....

Yep, but they left laptop, netbook, digital camera's, computer's, hard-drive's, car parts, and other misc elec gear which is pretty exy, even loose change they didn't touch, they even went through my coin collection, etc, They basically just took ALL the meat from my freezer, left all my wifes costume jewelery, stole a cloths basket and a bag, and here is the most f**ked up thing to steal.... buttons off my wife's pants??? seriously WTF!!?!! I think I worked out the Jewellery side of things, i think they were targeting anything made of Gold. Anyhow, I'm looking at installing spy camera's inside out and setup to record off site. P.S: And maybe something like this : http://youtu.be/nObb-KvRSzg filled with ink

It really is the worst feeling knowning some scumbag has been in your scantuary, touched your things, went through your private stuff, I do suspect someone but I have to tell myself that due to not having any proof I can't blame them, I'm hoping the finger print the cops have will lead somewhere and then after the cops finish the truck you speak of gets them :P lol I want Karma to get them
-
Had police out come out they managed to find one print... all of my wifes jewellery is gone my seiko honda racing watch gone ... that was wedding gift from my wife, they stole select tools and all my meat from my freezer, i spent the whole day yesterday buying and installing a new door, organising lock smith, cleaning and other stuff.

I finally finished the wiring harness today, plugged it all back up to get ready for the first fireup in 3yrs, as soon as I connected the battery engine started to crank over by itself bypassing the iginition system??? and drained battery ..see my thread for more info, but yeh, :( Make sure you do a vid of you firing it up for the first time.

I really feel like pushing the car back under the house... I'm going to go watch Love the beast to make sure I don't...
-
All the best mate, hopefully it's 100% better than my attempt today!
-
I finished the engine harness today, and connected it back up, only had a couple of issues with some sensors and plugs, 1 green one near the alternator which I accidentially ripped out with the plug still connected, 1 under the dizzy which is the same story and another little earth plug from the looks of it. and I have 2 black, 1 green plugs with out homes :( Anyhow, I have good news and bad news. Good news = the engine isn't seized Bad news = I'm back to square one So this is what I did: Poured 5ltrs of fuel into the fuel tank plugged up loom plugged up ECU Put the negative (ground) onto the battery As soon as I touch the positive connector to the battery the starter motor kicked in and started turning over the car I unplugged it to make sure I didn't have any fires etc.... (and thought WTF!!!) Reconnected the positive to battery and car automatically started cranking over, I checked the iginition whilst the car was cranking over and attempted to turn the key, this it seem just drained the battery really quick and engine stopped cranking over. So ...... yeh :( Not really sure what to do now, ....I'm pretty shattered it didn't work
