Carbonboy you got me thinking about the missfire you had, i remember that the guys who did the engine conversion advanced the timming as far it would go. Is it possible that advanced timing is causing these issues???? Trev, i didnt get a chance to get one yesterday i sat on ippy mwy for over an hour as some commuters decided to be stunt drivers and roll their cars :)

I did same in qld, changed from 3ete to 4efte... Down from 1.5 to 1.3 they didnt care what i did just wanted to see the engine number.

I'm starting to think its something to do with the airflow. Remember when the car started because i changed intercooler, or when it wouldnt because intercooler wasn't on... When the car wasnt used the intercooler wasnt on exposing the throttle inlet which may have been open a little. Mr & Mrs bug/mouse/what ever comes along and makes home in the throttle body, I turn on car sucks the 'home' into the engine causing an air blockage. Does that make any sense??? P.s: don't really know how stop arcing issue beside changing the lead P.s: Eyes are fine now used a whole bottle of eye drops to flush/clean them... my wife commited on how great my skin looks after the whole thing- lol wtf? :)

Hey guys my rollas engine appears to have a fuel blockage, it refuses to start. But if i leave it for 10mins and go to start it, it kicks and nearly starts ups up. Things that I tried: * changed fuel pump * changed fuel filter * changed fuel rail * changed fuel Other stuff i have tried: * Cleaned out air intake to turbo * cleaned bov * cleaned intercooler (cleaned out to see if there was an blockages - I found a some kind of alien moth egg :blinks: )

Hmmm i bought one those clear fuel filters so i can actually see the fuel in there and believe me it has fuel preasure, do you think there could be blockage some where before the injectors??

My wife, my cat, non work days, food, cars (all sorts), watching Rally, but most of all.... my engine in the rolla running.

Changed the fuel rail, checked all the injectors, pulled off the intake pipe into turbo and cleaned it out, car still refuses to start, :glare: Has fuel pressure (:rolls:) and air and spark... when it's cranking just before it starts there is a little "arcing" sound, what ever that is, I reckon that's why the cars not starting. I remember I had the same problem on the starter and Justin tightened it up the bolts and it started first go. Justin showed me a little trick by spraying WD40 down the intake, I did that and it nearly started, but then same problem as above. Any ideas? I'm stumped now.

Bought some eye drops .... just in case it happens again :blinks: Back to it, replacing the fuel rail and checking that everything is grounded and trying again.. and again... and again .... and again...

I put the new fuel filter on, replaced the spark plugs, degreased the thermostat housing sensor cluster and made a new gasket for it, couldn't think of anything else to try so I put the battery back in and cranked it over, .. it cranked but failed to start, and on each I could hear some funny hissing sound, so i go to investigate and note fuel around the injectors, found it was faulty line that went into fuel rail, no problem, so i thought I'll replace the fuel rail as the hose has some kind of special crimpling. I undo near everything on the fuel rail and realised that i have to take the fuel filter line off too, so I'm doing it and BAM!!! next thing I know I can't see anything as the fuel filter contents are in my eyes and all over my face, so I make a run for inside basically blind, trying to find the tap to flush out my eyes I have grease and fuel all over my hands so when I do it's pointless as I'm making things worse, i make a dash for the shower and managed to flush my eyes out and get most of the fuel off me. Eyes are still burning a little, I've packed up and going to go grab some lunch and have a good think from how to proceed from here. :|

Its all about having fun and getting experience..i took my stock ts astra to an Audi/Porsche driving day (invited by a member) .. i was coming last every time but the memories had were priceless.

Not yet :( I have been spending all my time fixing my mother in laws house, today sanding down floors... tomorrow sanding and painting...monday more painting..after work... tuesday moving stuff back into rooms after work wednesday....bah you get the idea lol after that... two more houses to go and my rolla some where in there.... i have everything in the car ready to go tho

Picked up gasket silicon, fuel filter, degreaser, and some extra tools to make my life easier without damaging maximus...
