  1. Yeah my air filter is too big.. it hits the breather and won't stay down properly. When I get a weber it'll fit. Is the breather really oily? Have you had to replace it yet?
  2. Hmm.... I think it's gonna get messy haha.
  3. Is an oil breather going to do the same thing though? What can I do to stop it from filling up? I've read that it could be something to do with pistons or rings being screwed... How do you make a catch can? Is it just like this? If so I have no idea how to do that... haha. More importantly I have no idea what those fittings are... hellllp? :P Cheers.
  4. Hey. On my 5K, there is a hose going from the rocker cover to the air filter. Somewhere on this site I've seen someone get rid of the hose and just chuck an oil breather on. Is there a reason the oil is going into the air filter? Is it better to chuck on an oil breather? And is it legal? I ask because my exhaust fumes or something smell kinda oily and there is a bit of oil slowly building up around the start of the hose on the rocker cover. Cheers. Edit: Found this which answers my first question (oil goes into the air filter because of pressure from the engine pushing it out of the vent thing), but not my last two...
  5. Haha
  6. 2:34? Haha that's a bit specific. I'm coming... hopefully with the gf. Could someone chuck up a "Get directions" route off Google maps? I have no idea where this is otherwise... :x Edit... Found it! Looks like a good drive. Will we take Great Eastern Highway to Kalamunda or something else?
  7. Cheers Dave. Will read up on them and seriously consider it.
  8. Hey. I've got a fairly newish radiator sitting in my shed that I want to put onto my KE70. I'm just wondering if a shroud is necessary? I have one on my current radiator but I dunno if I have the knowledge to modify it to fit on the new one. So basically, are shrouds necessary? Cheers.
  9. Ah didn't see all that stuff.. haha.
  10. That's good condition... how much did you pay for it?
  11. Been a while since the extractors were put on but here's a vid... Car is still idling weirdly, but hopefully will be getting a weber soon.
  12. Hey. Ahh ok. Cheers for that. :y: Can't remember if it bolts to the rocker cover... it goes from the choke inside the car through to the carby near the accelerator throttle thing. Thanks!
  13. Hey. The choke on my 5k carby is getting stuck on the clamp... From inside the car, the choke pulls out but it is very easy to pull and doesn't increase the revs at all. From under the bonnet, the choke cable gets stuck on the clamp and it is hard to pull out. Once it is out, it is hard to get it back into the clamp. Does the little metal bit on the choke cable need to be made smaller? Or is there something else I can do to stop it from getting caught? Cheers.
  14. Haha yeah I know I'm dumb but I figured that part out! :y:
  15. Here are some of my old ke70... the front seats are out of an ae71 though and the gear knob is also (not 4 speed).
  16. I'm pretty sure? :y: It's just that the handle thing or whatever (both the fuel and boot release levers) is not drilled onto anything it's just hanging there loose and needs to be drilled to something. Hopefully that's what you mean?
  17. Ah, it's here! Damn it! Haha... :y: Yours turned out heaps good. I just realised what I did wrong but hopefully the whole handle will fit through that hole in the seat support...
  18. How much did that cost? Awesome, will do. :y: I got it all set up... sooo good. :y: It just has to be drilled into place... it's a tight fit... as in the cable is stretched quite a bit. Ahh your thread with pictures is here...
  19. Ahh, I get what you mean with it going around the wheel arch. I've got that far (got it into the boot and popped it open - IT'S FRIGGON AWESOME! Haha...)... but I'm still wondering something... do you do it in the reverse order that you said? As in, wouldn't it be easier to thread the little sinker thing under the carpet, under the rails, around the wheel arch and into the boot instead of going in reverse with the actual release mechanism itself? One thing... can I completely finish the boot release now and still do the fuel release later without touching the boot release? Because I suck at this stuff and the fuel release can wait until after Sydney. :y: Thanks for selling me this! One more thing that I have learnt and can appreciate about my car. :y:
  20. Yeah, nah I read that. I figured how to do it just took me a while... Only problem now is where to thread it through to the boot. I haven't got the time to find a drill and drill it into place at the moment cause I'm going to Sydney tomorrow morning, but if I could just leave it loose under my seat and find a way to get it through to the boot (temporarily) I'd be happy. I dunno how to take my back seats off but I'm guessing I'll have to? Is it hard to get them off? Also, when you open the boot, does the cable get in the way? Or did you fix it to the boot arm thingy?
  21. I'm a dumbarse; I need it to be a bit more specific than that. :y: ... seriously. :y:
  22. Ahh, ok. Yeah they look so nice.
  23. What am I doing? :y: I'm trying to install it but I don't have a clue where to start...
  24. Exactly what I was thinking this morning... I took it to Natrad and the guy said that he can do that with the outlet... but I'm gonna bring it in anyway and see what he thinks. Cheers. :y:
  25. Nah, I don't wanna get it reconditioned or rebuilt, I'd just like to replace the tube thing.
