A 2002 model Corolla really shouldn't be a challenge to service for any mechanic really.
Any of the big chains (Ultratune, K-mart Auto, Repco Auto Service) will be cheaper than the dealer, give good service and be pretty safe if you aren't confident of finding a local mechanic your self. They will probably be dearer than the true local mechanic, but they are probably a happy medium between that and your Toyota dealer.
