  2. We aren't making a booking... not sure what numbers we will have so we will wing it on the day... if it turns to shit we can always go to the food court.. now that will stuff ya jimi ;) :)
  3. Good lord Jimi could you make this any harder hahahaha. I have no idea what time we will be there until... It will take at least an hour for lunch I would have thought, so we wouldn't be into the show until 1pm. Then I imagine it will take a couple of hours to look at everything....
  4. Racing debut this weekend I believe... will the tin can beat the tomato i wonder?
  5. Upstairs. Not far from the entrance to the movies, so follow the signs to that. Or ask one of the thousand security guards where to go.
  6. Jimi.. we are meeting at The Pub at noon. midday. when we have all had a bite to eat we will wander over.
  7. Hi all TCCAV is going to do a group outing to the motorshow on Saturday, and the more the merrier in terms of participation. We are meeting at midday at "The Pub" in Crown Casino. We will have a bite to eat and a beverage and then cross the road to Jeff's Shed to perve on all the new machinery. Hopefully see a few of you there! Adam
  8. I am right in saying the escort got helped over by a celica?
  9. Having a two speed auto is a pain in the arse...makes freeway driving very painful. For what ever you are trying to achieve, look at something else!
  10. that would be an awesome sight. there is a swap meet on at calder on the same day so i might disappear a bit early and head over to that.. not that there will be much toyota love there :)

  14. My mate Glen is right... you don't go back to an old girlfriend that you got rid of... shouldn't do it with a car either... just need to improve the detomato some more :)

  16. any one after a ke36/38? there is one advertised on www.tccav.org.au with just 76,000km on it!
  17. Its a good question.. I don't know what to use any more I do know that armorall is shit. if you don't constantly apply your dash actually does crack. my first celica was testament to that sad fact.
  18. Man this is a long long list... almost all of my old cars have a soft spot in my heart... unless its the company cars, some of which were shitters... Mr Hanky rocked... The original Ninja was an awesome car... I occasionally think I was an idiot for ever giving this up.. but its home is better now and is getting much more love than I would have given it... My entree back into the world of classic Toyota's three years ago was also awesome The original RA23 I owned was an awesome car and I was sad when it got stolen This one I still wish I owned without doubt... every single time I am on a twisty country / hills road I wish I had it back... I hope I am restoring one with a future son/daughter or 20 years or so :) The only thing missing is my first car.. a lime green LJ Torana.. have bugger all photos of it, but I do have one that needs to be scanned.
  19. silver car is mentioned as an rt72 corona
  20. Welcome.. Some points Problem 1 - RA60 struts are known for positive camber. You can purchase strut tops from www.ajps.com.au to suit your Corolla but they won't help much if you are running standard style springs. The spring run into the side of the shock tower almost immediately. You really need to convert your struts to coil overs to get it working right - otomoto do a good kit. Or use different struts which don't cause the problem, like RT132 corona ones. People often use a sigma lower control arm to sort out their camber issues. I believe the ball joint taper on the sigma arm doesn't match the toyota one, so some mods need doing if you want to go down that path. Problem 2 - I think the RN25 Hilux diff is the perfect one in terms of size and correct stud pattern. It is also rare as rocking horse poop. I think that is why the Skyline one appeals, as it is correct stud pattern and LSD are easy enough to get. Problem 4 - I know a good trimmer - Terry's Motor Trimming at Clayton. Its no where near where you are though :) Good luck!
