  1. What a great night.... good turn out from rollaclub/TCCA people... none from toymods. Oh well. Beautiful car. Good stories! any ways here are a couple of crap phone pics... interior is incredibly overrated.. the dash plastics haven't even cracked to the right of the steering column shroud like they all do!! He had lots of good info on setting up an old race car... gave some insight on what they can and can't do... interesting point for me was that he manages his rear brake bias by swapping in and out different wheel cylinders from other Toyotas.
  2. shame its the day of the grand prix :(
  3. we have coming me kehendo 7k_78rolla te278u carbonboy evan joey there isnt any where close you can park a car though so i don't think doug will be seeing our cars...
  4. I had a bog stock my01 wrx i threw around the figure 8 dirt track at oran park (RIP) 10 years ago... That was the most awesome fun I ever had with my pants on... a little left foot braking to get her to slide and then it was imminently chuckable... I was massively slow compared to the people who were serious... but i was the most spectacular that day. Much jealousy in you having a real one to play with :)
  5. hehe... cool fat chick :) love the colour...nice pick up
  6. Most of that foam you can buy is porous.. it isn't a going to be a good seal It also stays wet for a long time, promoting a really good rusting situation. I am not sure what the solution is, but I would be worried about using stick on foam for the above reasons.
  7. As well as posting here you are coming, can you PM me for the details.. I don;t want to miss someone :) Everyone has been covered to this point though. Looks like we will have a reasonable turn out Dave. Will let you know numbers. If any one can go via Werribee to collect Van and bring him in, please let me / him know as he would love to come, but his driver wont be home than night.
  8. Hi folks Dave was talking to Doug Clark at Phillip Island on the weekend. Doug drives the Group C Ra23 that is at most historic events, and has driven various cars including Celicas and Corollas at Bathurst. Doug offered to have a catch up with the club members one night this week.. so we can have a look at his car and listen to some of his tales We are going to meet him at his hotel in the city at 7.30pm this Thursday 24th, have a look at the car, and then take it from there. I don't want to post the address details on a public forum, so please PM me for the details if you are going to come or text me on 0413 001 666. Post up if you are coming too. Cheers Adam
  9. people pay mega bucks to get candy red paint... looks awesome... why would you get rid of it! Looks bloody tough as it stands... if you want to change something to make it more yours then paint the bumpers candy red as well.
  10. Another great turn out today.. thanks to Brendon and Ian for putting in the ground work for it. Over 20 guys, one Mum and one Wife turned up today, so a great turn out. 11. MGCC HAS JUST CANCELLED THIS EVENT MG Car Club is running their annual Club Challenge at Rob Roy again this year. First round is April 10th. Rob Roy is good fun.. its short.. tight... quick... and needs some big cojones to really nail it up the hill. Not much is needed to enter.. your club membership, CAMS L2 Speed licence, helmet, fire extinguisher, blue battery triangle and a car that is in reasonably sound shape. I have put the regs up at http://www.tccav.org.au or you can go to http://www.robroyhillclimb.com.au TCCA had a good turnout last year so hoping to do the same again this year!
