  2. Settle petal, They're 15" with Federal 195/50/15's and are COMPLETELY BALD to be exact :lol: That picture was taken in the shed with flipped leaves and 2" blocks. Around how low your 30 will be lowered a hektik 4". Car was NEVER driven like that, and is probably on a boat somewhere headed for a steel smelter somewhere in south china :P CHEERS Ryan
  3. Yep, KE70 gearboxes line up nicely with the hole for the auto in a ke3x/5x. Mine was orig auto, then floor cut for ke30 4spd then I put in a KE70 5spd. I just sikaflexed a steel plate over the hole. No heat, no swarf :lol:

    Profix Findon couldnt even fix the Magna wagon my old lady had YEARS ago (READ, multiple times). Would never willingly take something there. PERIOD.

    I've met this bloke. Luc know's him a little better. Had a turbo 5k IIRC. Also spotted this a few times but keep forgetting to post it up. Thought it was Brodies the first time i saw it, from afar.

  12. NO! 5k head onto a 4k or 3K especially would bring the compression up to something crazy. 5K head > 3K High to VERY HIGH comp 5k head > 4K Even Higher comp 5k Head > 4K-U Stock Comression 3K head > 5k Low comp 4k head > 5K Lower comp 4K-U head > 5K Stock Compression
  13. Little bit of an update, Got my powder coated stuff off Luc. Looks wicked. Pulled apart all the rest of my steering gear. Gonna get the drag link low pressure garnet blasted as not to ruin the tapers, then hopefully get new a new pitman arm, idler arm, inner and outter tie rods along with new adjuster tubes thru Pedders. Also new LCA bushes, Castor rod bushes, Swaybar links and D bushes, steering box isolator and bumpstops, also thru Pedders. Then grab some XT130 struts,get em coated, get springs to suit and chuck em in. Then fit up the RA60 rotors and MX62 calipers and that will be the front end sorted. Will source some short stroke 86 shocks later down the track. Planning on taking the 4K block down to API in early Jan, to get bored and honed along with a deck. After i get it back an ACL rebuild kit will be purchased. Pistons, rings, rods, bearings, crank, Front pulley and flywheel will be taken to API to get assembled and balanced. Also will send the cam off to Crow Cams to be reground. I'm looking at buying a ported 4k head at the moment. so head work will be left untill i know I'm getting it or not. Once the bottom ends installed, i can flip it over and begin building upwards. slot the cam in, line it up, bolt the cover up, water pump, lifters, head, push rods, cooling system etc. In between all that i have to finish the bodywork, wiring the front end, interior and keeping the old man off my back. Gonna be a busy few months but it'll get there :) Began setting up a bit of a workshop setup so everythings a bit more organised and easy to acess Decent Sized work bench, courtesty of work. Starting to Hoard all the chrome i can find for these things And lastly, what do you guys think?
  14. 2in with one straight thru muffler on my 4k KE30 was pretty loud. Probably just under the legal limit but gets annoying whilst trying to drive thru back streets quietly. I'm going with a 2in system, 2in muffler and a 2.5in hotdog with twin 2.5 tips.
  15. That'll be alright, we had a mazda on the last cruise so the stato will be alright. Think we might have to draw the line at nissans tho :) Will get in contact. Around the same time as last yr. Possibly the weekend before Old Skool n' New Age on the 29th. As there are quite a few members (including myself), that plan on being there.
  16. 6,000+ = Hypospeed as Luc's mate calls it. Thats the point of it really, to be able to putter round town getting good fuel ecconomy. Then when you need the power, Drop it down a gear or 2 and your right in VVTi teritory, then a couple thousand revs later variable valve lift kicks in all the way to the 8,200rpm limiter.
  17. Had a spin in the driver seat of this thing today, and for a late model econo-box it really gets up and goes. Pulls well in every gear. Would really like a spin in a Sportivo model if they go as hard as I've heard.
