  1. Possibly. but there are no scales to show what that line measured.
  2. BHG's Love you long time.
  3. Dunno, unless someone can make something from the dyno print out. Issues sorted, swapped the carb over, swapped the jetting into it and it fired first go. Spare weber parts FTW!
  4. This car is shitting me off! Had issues on the way to and from work, dicked around with the carb at lunch and made no difference. Tach readings indicate the ignition side of things may be playing a part of it all. Erratic tach movments, popping thru the carb and massive exhaust popping on over run.
  5. Mr Bean it on the roof.
  6. Sexual car Wade. Treat her nicely :)
  7. Mmmmmmm, fresh meat.
  8. f@$kING!

Saw the lights in my mirror and thought it mighta been my mate waiting for me in his S1 Rx7. Woulda kept heading down Lonsdale hwy but was in a rush to get home.
  10. Wicked man! Pulls hard.
  11. 78-84 Corolla stock wheels are 13" and 114.3 pcd. KE30/35/36/38/55/70/71 Pretty sure you'll have rubbing issues on the front with the Excel wheels. Should be able to use them on the rear. But corolla wheels would be much more suitable.
  12. Thanks man, loving your 82 build too :) The extra $$ for plan B would be the SC and maybe a megasquirt. Got an old skool Microleb lined up. Been thinking, might aswel use 4K everything (apart from the 5K block and pistons of course). Due to the sheer amount of parts that are readily available. Also using the 4K head, means i can easily use the complete valvetrain from a 4K without the need for dirty datsun parts. Anyways, I'll leave it for another day and sort out WTF is going on now :(
  13. Not too sure at the moment, depends what direction i go with it. Wanna aim for at least 60rwkw NA (50% over what it made today) and maybe 80rwkw FI. Still not overly high figures, but a couple of round and conservative numbers. Plan A = Higher Comp NA Plan B = 5K Bottom end, "D" dish pistons, 4K head and valve train with a Blower.
  14. Sounds like my car at the moment :( (minus the smoke)
  15. Didnt realise how hard he pushed it till i saw the print out. Everyone watching commented on how loud it was tho :P Might bolt bolt that 5K bottom end together for some better outputs
  16. Swapped back to original jetting, much better now. Car still wont idle. Got the shits with it and packed up for the night. Anyways, here's proof of the monster output :P
  17. +1 Easiest thing EVAR!
  18. Oh WTF! Hope you get it sorted out man
  19. Had the wagon on the dyno today. Carb Jetting is up the shit and car currently isnt idling, not too sure why, was fine on the way to the dyno. Anyways, Reeled off a massive 39.2rwkw. Sorting out the jetting and idling issue now.
  20. 14mm socket and 10" extension bar. Done it many times... EDIT: On both stock manifolds and extractors.
  21. Use the gasket or base of the redline and trace the profile onto some 1.6-2mm mild, cut out and weld into the base of the stocker filter housing. Could do the same thing and strengthen up the redline one, depends what you prefer.
  22. +1 Recently bought a Lincoln 180c. Cost me around $1200 once i bought a new autohelmet and extra wire. Have only used it as a gasless as thats the wire its got in it and I'm yet to sort out gas. Welded panels just fine. running 0.8mm Also have a CigWeld 170 Inverter Arc/Tig Welder. If you want the best, then the only way is a dedicated machine (dedicated MIG etc) anything else (tri-function mig/tig/arc) is just a compramise. MIG is great for someone that wants to do a bit of welding around the place every now and then. ALMOST point and shoot.
  23. WGMG. Preparing to send the Panelvan to the crusher.
  24. Weld up a small resivour that runs goes around the intake piping. Inlet and outlet for heater lines. Works the same as an exhaust 'hotbox' and exactly the same as the setup used on 3K-B manifolds. Heat helps the fuel vapourise better giving a better burn. Run a heater tap off a KE70 or something so it gives you the oppertunity to turn the "intake heater" on and off.
