Are you sure the pistons are interchangable. Maybe 4k into 3K, but having asked the question before I'm sure the 3K pistons wont fit due to not having the skirt scalloped for the 4K counter weight due to the longer stroke of the 4k crank.

Mate picked one up not long ago. ADM, rather good condition, 16v Swap already done..... managed to get it for like $5k.

Spotted a few lately, Silver KE30/55 on MA's filling up at the BP near the gallipoli underpass. ToyoKE30Coupe's KE30 on morphett rd. Oh-Ke's Wagon down at the bay twice this week. KE20 at moana beach this arvo. AE112 sportivo on brighton rd this arvo. Unsure if it was turbo or not.. Lesley and Karl might have a buddy in hiding out there, somewhere.

Yea, i had the same problem a while back. 99% sure it was the voltage reg on the back.

Started on doing the door trims over the last couple nights. Gonna go down and have a look at a paticular marine store to get the same stuff tha bordie used in his 2dr.

We've got a 5spd gearbox here. KE70 box with KE30/55 tail housing. Again, belongs to a mate..

Yep, its a KE30/55 4 speed. Whats the difference with yours Ev?

Went into pedders yesterday and replaced the front wheel bearings, No more squealing :D Put it on the wheel aligner and now it turns corners a shitload better. Connected the swaybar and that also improved things outta sight. Replaced the old points which were burnt out due to the loose connection. Set the dwell, timing and fuel mixture a tad. All i can say is when i took it for a burst up the street, i was a VERY happy rolla driver :yes: Big thanks goes out yet again to Alan.

Go see Dave. He gets billet ones made. Same style as the KE2x with the extra length of the KE30 tube. I got Luc a pair for his KE30, works brilliant. Has the flats milled in for easy adjustment with a spanner. Gotta go see him soon to get a set for the 38.

The Mounts themselves are different. So if you don't have the one to suit the KE70 rear housing, you wont be able to use the KE30/55 one. The mounts end up in the same position on the crossmember. The KE70 mount has wider hole spacings where it bolts to the crossmember. Probably best to get the gearbox bolted to the engine with mount attached, bolt the crossmember up under it and somehow mark where the holes need to go, just so you know the holes are 100% in the right position.

Redrill the holes for the KE70 mount in the KE30 crossmember. All lines up.

What reverse thread bolt were you missing? Or one of the lock nuts on the tube itself? I had the same problem with the plate on the head, snapped a bolt but left it. Seal Up fixed it :P

Will do man, tomorrow, 1:30 ish alright? Can't believe it was only that really, tried a known working coil after talking to David earlier about it being a spark problem moreso than fuel. Just stumbled across it really.

Kick Ass! Sounds good Mick :D UPDATE!! Got the ol 4K running a metric shitload better tonight. Was fiddling around and popped the dizzy cap off. had a look at the points and realised the connection thats on the inside of the insulator was loose as a goose letting it riggle around all over the place. Tightened the little bugger up and it ran like a dream! Just need to adjust the timing a bit as its a little laggy down low. But once it gets up high it goes like shit off a shovel. Maybe the cam's a bit bigger than anyone thought..... :guns:

Spotted the same Red KE30 turning off dyson rd this arvo also. bout 6pm-ish.

Rear's coming down about 35mm or so. Dunno about the front, will lower to suit.
