So the wagon went on its first outting to work today. Was running pretty poo due to the carby leak, but apart from that it handled it pretty well. Going in friday for a proper wheel alignment, front swaybar connected proper and possibly a set of sports ryders in the rear. Got the carby leak 80% sorted, not a bad as it was before. could be better. Also got a working brake booster check valve. Been driving around on un-boosted brakes. Just about went thru the windscreen when i hit em tonight :glare:

We just scrapped one over the last 2days. Was well and truely rooted tho.

Yea, i went and looked at the 30 2dr they had there. Seen the wagon sitting there and didnt think much of it. I got a mate with a spare borg warner, no brakes tho, in unknown condition. Will talk to him if your still keen.

On stock timing chains there are 2 coloured links. these 2 links line up with the marks on the sprockets.

Yes! a few, like keeping rear wheels on. and carby gasket leaks.

Car is 99.9999999% complete. Now in the driveway at home! Had a bit of a hairy time on the way home, but it made it none the less. So stoked.

Brakes Bled, It stops now! All doors close and lock, Ready for windows. Boot closes and locks Bonnet closes and locks Rear back rest now in, needs an ass rest. Roughly wheel aligned Grill secured. All lights working, dash lights now work. 2 window regs and windows to go in tomorrow!

4K Crank into a 3k block would require removing material to clear the counterweights on the crank due to the longer stroke. I asked this same question a long while back and that was the general answer i got. 5K pistons wont fit due to the bigger bore of the 5K over the 3K/4K. Id just stick with everything in a 5K block. Newer, more than likely less corosion, possibly stronger and less hassles.

Yea, I'm bloody spewin'. PM'd Too. Anyways, got the rear seatbelts in. The 4K's running rather well with a massive thanks to Alan (RKE020/055). All doors now have seals. Rear doors now close and lock. Will do the front doors today then i can start getting windows in. Hopefully get the front brakes bled today.

My 4K KE30 had all stock 4k, just pulled apart cleaned up and back together. Thermo Extractors into 2" system and a straight thru muffler. Went like the clappers to be honest. Wouldnt go ANYTHING over 2" exhaust. Even for the supercharged setup the exhaust shop only recommended 2.25" Go for a muffler and resonator. Was waaaayy too loud, police didnt like it quite as much as I did.
