Sounds like a throwout bearing. Only part that really only comes into play (and hence shows its condition) when the clutch pedal is depressed. Best off replacing the lot. Gives you a good excuse to get a HD or puk clutch :P

Evan, Not all the ends on the clutch cable are the sort where you can pop the end off. Remove the circlip on the firewall and disconnect the cable from the top of the clutch pedal. Then feed it back thru the hole towards the diff. Edit: Pretty much what the post above me says :bash:

99% are the same up to the collector. After that they change to suit the floor pan.

KE30's weren't manufactured in Australia until late 77. What dash does it have?

Hopefully replace the front pads tonight and alternator when i get a chance to get another one. Bearings are FARKED.. Other than that, the green terror is going awesome. Weber back on this weekend too hopefully :P

I'm running a very similar size (235/60/14) on the rear of my ute. Ended up with Hankook RA03's or something $175ea when i bought.

The one on the City side is Extensive wheel services. Also seems that they are quite a bit cheaper than Adelaide wheel and rim...

Interesting, didnt have to do it when i put the KE70 5speed into my previously auto 78 KE30. But the KE55 5spd with KE70 rear housing is rather close to the floor in the original manual 38.
