Are you planning to retrim the car yourself or get someone to do it for you? Just on a side note to fully retrim my car in velour cost just over $2000 so leather would be a lot more but vinyl a bit less? Good luck if your doing it yourself. It will look awesome in white though.

Yeah for sure i sandblasted my extractors then painted it with the high temp 1500F stuff no baking and its still on there now after 6months. Only problem is where the extractors were bumped when putting in the engine bay.

Yep definently going to be at this one. My other ke20 has just had a 4k and 5 speed installed so i won't need to flog my street car. Is it possible for unregistered cars to compete? And if so do they need any sort of insurance for the day?

Mate they are everywhere i just picked one up for 150 in brisbane with a running 4k and 5 speed box. Perfect doors bonnet ok most of the shell is still ok.

Ok don't worry about it. I found out that liteaces were sold from January of 1986 to 1992 with 5k motors. The range offered two or three variants with a 5k motor every year. The other motor offered was a 1.8l so I'm guessing that was a 7k? Hopefully this information can be useful to someone.

Hey guys I'm looking at a very cheap liteace van and was just wondering if anyone knew the years that the Liteace had the 5K motor in it? I've tried searching and google but haven't found anything. Any help would be appreciated. Also the car owner won't be able to tell me what engine it is until 3:30 today so it would be good to know if it could possibly have a 5k

hmm speedos are tricky I'm pretty sure mine is out so i just go by the tacho now which isnt very reliable but its all i have. The speedo might be right just the car feels slower or faster than the appropriate speed but follow someone with an accurate speedo and then you will know. Also when the gold wheels go on it might get put out by the larger size rolling diameter.

On a side note is it possible to get avgas easily?

I've got 185/60s on a 13x6 rim and they look wide on a ke20. We tried 205/60s and it looked like a steamroller so on a 10 i imagine it would look very wide. I think your current wheels look great!

This is a new fuel brought out by shell. Its the first 100 octane petrol sold in bowsers. They use a 5% blend of ethanol and is to be used by the v8 supercars next year. When Dick Johnson was interviewed about it, it came across as the fuel didnt help power figures too much at all. They seemed more focused on environmental benefits but to be honest I'm not too sure the difference between 5 % ethanol and 0% ethanol will do for the environment. Also its about 14c a litre dearer than normal unleaded. I've tried running it for a couple of tanks and i can't see why i'd start using it over BP ultimate. If anyone has anythoughts or opinions feel free to post them.
