Finally a few weeks ago managed to machine up the cap head bolts in the lathe at work so i could fit the adapter plate to the head.

even when you bend it you need to re-center the shifter hole to line up with the new extension housing position.

Tony said they just cut there one as low as they could and rewelded it, So yeah, custom it is :)

Also orderd some socket head cap screws to fix the adaptor plate to the head. Once that is done I can get to work on making sure the manifolds line up straight.. going to need a bit of machining on the surfaces where the manifolds bolt down as they are not a flat surface..

After letting the box sit down on the crossmember it has really made the shifter sit close to the right hand side of the shifter hole. Thanks to some feedback from Tony it looks like I'll be cutting the floor and moving the bolt holes for the rubber boot to solve the problem.. Next trick is a bit of fabrication to mount the rubber mount to the gearbox crossmember..

Found a few bolts in my collection on the weekend that have solved my dilemma. Managed to get the T50 in to place so I could see how the gearbox would sit in relation to the gearbox mount / crossmember / shifter hole..

I've got a 2" straight through system with a muffler at the rear, not loud at all..

Had a bit more progress with this today. Managed to pull the old K50 gearbox out and get the K-T Bellhousing on a T50 I have so i can start to get the gearbox mount sorted out.. Problem I ran in to was the gearbox to engine bolts are around 20mm too short, Sucked to find that out once I handled the gearbox up in to position... So looks like I am doing a bit of bolt shopping next week.

I was thinking it might be an idea to get one for my upright motor... looks like a nice bit of gear. will have to check yours out when you get it.

I'd say he wants a proper enclosed air box and not a exposed filter..
