  1. You can also find some RWD 4AGE/4A-C engine mounts and shorten the right hand side mount and reweld it. That way, you don't have to mess around cutting your engine crossmember up.
  2. Getting a little off-topic guys..... lets get back on track shall we? :D

Ok, who's seen it? White KE70/AE71, lowered, Spirit wing on the back (it was a CS-X), DRIFT-R badges on the front guards where a Hi-cam badge would go, stock rims. Driver was of Asian appearance and couldnt wait to pull up next to my Panelvan and check out my Matt-Black bonnet haha. This was heading up main north road by the car yards heading out of North Adelaide.
  4. Did you use gasket paper ancullen or go the cornflakes way?
  5. Better still. Buy some Gasket Paper and make one. Use the ball end of a hammer to get the shape! Should have plenty of Gasket Paper left over to make other gaskets for various other parts later on. :D

I've seen that car gettin around....
  7. LOL. Reminds me when i took my XD over a motorbike jump haha. Didnt get that much air though..... Maybe 3 feet or thereabouts. Tis fun though.
  8. Don't forget to catch the diff oil in something too and it will smell pretty bad!
  9. PM me your email dan and i will email you a ready made layout that i use myself and it hasnt failed to land me a job either.
  10. Yep, i was right! Timing System Problems
  11. AIR is generally closed over winter due to a wet track but i'm pretty sure I've heard its closed for upgrading the timing mechanism and light tree. Not 100% sure on what they are upgrading though but that woulda been a couple of months back now.
  12. By container of water, i gather you mean to sit the top half of the carb in it to get it right?
  13. And why would they do that? Army/Airforce exercise?
  14. I get the same thing with quick cornering and the carby has been rebuilt on my 3K, but i only find that it happens on left hand corners and not on right hand corners. I'd love to know what the cause of this could be as well....
  15. LOL! You're asking for trouble waving to a police car thats hiding, thats for sure.
  16. I lost the thread for the rims. The TOM's rim's are only 14 inch rims and will need to be powder-coated as the finish is kinda screwed on them. Guess that's what happens when the rims sit for ages with no attention from the previous owner. I'll see if i can get a pic for ya and post it up here. Mick
  17. Did you have to work today Lesley? :)
  18. I thought this would be a good topic to bring back some memories. The car in question would be my TE Cortina. 250 x-flow Some mild cam 350 Holley Pacemaker Extractors 2.5" Sports Exhaust 4 Speed Manual When I first got this car and took it for a test drive, it scared me and it took me a good couple of months to get used to it as well. I sold it a couple of years back and towards the end of last year, I found the car sitting at a self-serve wrecker. It had majorly rusted sills, broken exhaust and still had the seat covers on it that i took off my sister after she sold her Euro Escort. What car was your fastest and have you ever seen it again?

So when you doin' yours Nicko and making a RWD AE82 Seca? :)
  20. And, he can make people throw up in it :) My cortina i had was a bit slow off the mark, but hell it flew once the cam came on song. It was a 250 x-flow, redline manifold, 350 holley carb, pacemaker extractors, 2.5" sports exhaust and it was a 4 speed manual. Quickest car i've owned so far. :)
  21. Faulksy owns a 1967 KE10. He says that that was the first year of build.
  22. Yep, I knew it was a Pinto cos I used to have a 2L TE Cortina. Those engines have got some definate get up and go, thats for sure.
  23. I know someone who may have a set of TOM'S mag's for sale to suit your AE82. Not sure on size though, but i'll find out the price and if you're interested i'll pass on the details.
  24. My B/W Diff has a filler plug in the top and a drain plug on the side under the axle housing. You could try heating up the plg to get it out....
