how can I identify jap diffs and BW diffs and their ratios? also, where would I find a 4.5 ratio diff? could I find them in wagons or panel vans or wagons and panos come out with varying ratios? cheers!

yeah... we got a 73 Mach 1, the light green colour (forgot what its called). 351, great for burnouts...

I'm thinking i'd better look into this a bit. What were the different diff ratios out of the Rollas before 81? I know that Lappy said that the highest ratio ones were the pano/wagon ones. Is that right? Also, would KE20 diffs fit a KE35-55? Cheers, Dan

yeah... i want a minitruckerlised 720 ute with a 1uz-fe in it... flat black, railed, get rid of those butt ugly grilles etc and it'd be a bloody nice car... i know of a bloke who put a 1uz-fe in his Datto 240c!

Righto, i plan to keep everyone updated on the build of the beast. Will post pics soon... Plan The KE55 coupe will be stripped out speedway style (just a ignition circuit remaining), will run 3k with 5 spd (4th and 5th grs removed). Painted flat black. Rollcage, relocated battery and radiator (into 'cockpit'). *more pics added of new car*

u could always just swap the numbers... its 'illegal' but. If you fixed interior and left 3k in itd get ova pits easy as, then u can put ur 5k in... whats so 'hoon' like about a car with a 1200cc engine!

hey mate, i think we could work something out of this... if you want to buy the coupe, i'll put ya through to the bloke. I only really want the car for the 3k anyway. the car is... - in primer - reasonably rust free (according to the bloke) - got cd player - interior complete bar carpet, however (according to the bloke) in good condition - got 3k, modified 5 spd manual - complete panels and lights and grill and all the other crap... - glass in good nick - unlic thats what i got through chatting to the bloke. let you be warned... he said after a little bit of coaxing that he wanted around the 700 mark... but the way he said it inferred he was quite willing to budge a bit. hes in 2 rocks. talk about it....

well she did, but ROTAROLA from toymods gave me a ke55 sedan for nothing, so the taillights gone to him... sorry i couldnt help ya. will keep an eye out for ya.

I'm thinking of buying a coupe for myself... if i can pick it up for 300-400. its got rust free shell, in primer, but the interiors in bits (some not there). its got 3k with dual carby setup, but i don't need the carby setup.... emmet if it suits you (and i buy it) i might flog it off to ya... keep ya updated
