  2. I started an engine reconditioning apprenticeship and left it very quickly. I guess youve got to decide if its really what you want to do...because 3 years on a shit house wage doing the shithouse tasks is a high price in reality. If you do end up deciding you want to do it, make sure you get a good employer. The big "group training australia" and "biga" or whatever they are sound like a good way to go but you'd really have to research it more.

  14. they put the weight too far over the front axel in the S13s...I dread to think what it does for weight distribution in a corolla... Just another quick note on CA18DETs. Theyre nothing to sneeze at. They might not produce as much power modded as an SR20DET but they still pack quite a punch. don't write them off that quick.

  16. I resent comments like that. What did you expect? Theyre a performance motor. They last just as long as any other performance motor. Youve also got to look after them different to piston engines. i.e. you will kill them if you don't give them shit! (carbon builds up and kills the seals)
  17. CA18DETs a nice cheap turbo motor. RB20s a nice cheap turbo motor. SR20 is an all alloy over engineered motor...it is not cheap. You get what you pay for.

  25. Mum bought what you might be able to call a "awd" bike. Its basically got an electric motor in the front wheel hub to give you a bit of a boost when you need it. Apparently it goes really well (but I'm too heavy to try it...*grumble* don't ever work in a pizza store...being 6"4 doesnt help either...)
