  1. I might be having a moment here but have you changed the side you mounted the clutch parts on since the pics towards the top of the page?? If you have you now have it all wrong. Am I having a moment?? :) EDIT : I'm having a moment, forget it

    My Ke70

My mate is selling a 4AGE from a AE82 at the moment, check it in the parts for sale area. His username is markiitourerv. Good bloke too :) Only reason he removed the motor was the car got defected.
  3. Seems you have fixed the issue.... Also think about this... it is a 4k so when you are sliding unless you kick the clutch 4 thousand times mid corner the tyres are going to grip up and when they do it will be like you are losing power. You aren't losing power at all, the engine just can't cope trying to spin the wheels as it does not have the power to do it. The solutions are simple really: 1. Stop sliding on the street 2. Refer to 1 3. Refer to 1 These sorts of threads are really quite dumb. You openly admit to sliding your car (guessing on the street as I have not seen you at Mallala) and you expect a serious response which you are not going to get. This is a fairly mature site where if after searching you ask a mature question related to your car, you will get a mature answer. Plenty of people on here willing to help if you are willing to be sensible and mature.
  4. I can't see that link at work but I like the fact you like the idea too. What I meant by legal requirements was more to do with the bitching and whining that these types of threads can produce. One person recommends and place and another person posts about how when their sisters uncles dog went there something bad happened. You then (can) have legal issues in relation to slander and defamation through the site. Whether or not this would happen is unknown but putting the site and its owners at unnecessary risk is not a good idea. I am all for these types of threads as they can be quite useful but there will be extra moderation required and this is something you need to think about if you are prepared for. Just my 2 cents :)

Welcome to two months ago where it has been posted in the SA Section and pinned. There is no excuse for not knowing about it :) We will forgive you if you attend the next one, otherwise we will not :D I spotted a couple of KE1X coupes all smashed up with some useable (sic) parts on them outside a workshop in Unley. I don't know what the plans for them are but they had some parts on them that were ok. They had been in crashes though and sitting there for a while. It was a KE11 SL and a KE15? Sprinter. The KE11 had a good rear bar, bootlid and tail lights. The Sprinter had a good rear bar and nothing else.
  6. Tow is booked for tomorrow morning!! I'm so excited but stressed at the same time hoping I have bought most of the stuff the mechanic will need. Also stressed about the bill he is going to hand me :) But massively excited about the first time I see it running, and then driving it :D Will put up some more pics tomorrow, been slack lately and too busy working on it to worry about pics. :bash:
  7. I thought about this too.... good idea. I wonder whether also you could have or incorporate into this thread a recommended workshops thread. I don't know how that would go though in terms of legal requirements etc

It's up on Carsales for $3200. Seriously that is the only car that would make me consider selling my AE71. I am giving it some serious thought. Spotted a whole heap of KE70's yesterday at the cruise, was good fun guys :)
  9. WGMG - People who put other people's lives in danger and then don't wish to accept responsibility for their actions. This morning I was on my way to work using the same main road as usual. Normally I never have to stop or even brake before I reach the freeway. I was driving along minding my own business when all of a sudden the car in front of me slammed on his brakes and swerved onto the opposite side of the road. I slowed wondering what was going on, then I realised. There was a car coming towards us head on from the other side of the road. I slammed on my brakes and waited for the head on to occur. Thankfully the car that was coming towards us gradually swerved off the road and into an embankment. I moved my car to a safe position, got out. Another person had stopped and advised he knew First Aid so he would check on the driver and if I could call an Ambulance. Driver gets out of car all ok. While I am on the phone I notice from probably 10 metres away from the driver the distinct smell of alcohol. He was completely drunk. One guy was talking to the driver telling him an ambulance is on the way to check him out. The driver starts to plead with this guy saying not to involve the authorities otherwise he will lose his licence etc and he has his own business etc. The guy explained to him that he nearly wiped out two cars and could have killed someone and that we all have families, kids etc and it's not acceptable to let something like that slide. Anyway, I thought a fight was about to break out so I told my wife to get in the car and leave, so she did. I stayed there with the driver and the other guy. The driver then ran away on foot. Police, Ambulance etc arrived and took statements and we all left. That sort of action really grinds my gears. My wife is pregnant at the moment and if we had a head on despite the fact our car has 14 airbags the stress and shock of the accident could have caused her to miscarry. Not to mention if the guy had hit the guy in front of us we would have easily hit him too, causing injuries to multiple people. This guy is so lucky he didn't cause mass carnage and then he doesn't even have the balls to hang around. He is going to get a reaming though, driving drunk, leaving the scene of an accident, etc. When I walked past the Police car on the way back to my car I noticed on the computer screen the rego details were up on screen, and it said Registration Expired, surprise surprise. A real model citizen :)
  10. Doesn't matter how much notice you give Tom people are lazy and will say they are coming and then don't. I am happy that we had a reasonable turnout, they were all XE7X and we had a good drive together. Would have been nicer if everyone went the same way but you get that. I know I chose the boring way to get there but I did that because not everyone's driving skills are the same and a full on hills drive with windy roads with people you don't know can end in disaster. Thankfully all the guys got there ok and all that :bash: Next time we organise one we will organise it for some hills driving out of the way with lots of winding roads etc. :) That boro looking KE with the 4AGE surprised me the most, kept up very well on the freeway and you certainly wouldn't expect to see a 4AGE under that bonnet after looking at the outside of it. :D
  11. Another vote here for MA61 Supra Seats. The driver one has all sorts of adjustments that you would not expect for an early to mid 80's seat. Look good too if in good condition.
  12. I took some pics and will post them up tomorrow when I remember to bring my camera here. Thanks to those that came was a good turnout :)
  13. Congrats!! Must be an awesome feeling  Our first one is on the way and due in 6 months, can't wait!!
  14. For once I feel sorry for you, that is an epic journey you undertook and I can understand that you would be tired, etc and to get nabbed in Gumeracha of all places is pretty c^%ty. The officer obviously had not fulfilled his quota and you are now a victim of such. Did you explain to him that you had been driving all night in order to take a mate home???? Appeal it and make sure you wave to him when you are still on your way to work, even though he won't care I would still do it. I'm guessing his Mrs denied him earlier that night or morning  How many accidents have there been on the main street of Gumeracha lately, if ever?? Police should only need to be stationed in areas of high risk for prevention, not revenue raising, aargh this is grinding my gears
  15. What's wrong with your 71 Tom?? *sad panda*

That KE1X that has been spotted outside Boostworx with no engine is going to be receiving a 4AGZE
  17. Ok peoples. This is on this Sunday. Cruise route has been done and will be given out at the meet point. I will repeat that we will not be staying long at ETSA Park and preferring to do the meeting and greeting at another location. Please start arriving at 2:30 pm sharp so we can leave promptly. Tom, can you update the original post with the details that we are leaving quite quickly so we don't get people rocking up at like 3:15 pm at the meet point. This will not be like other cruises where you don't leave until like an hour and a half after the meet.
  18. I'll race you for slips when I get my 20 valve running   Your a funny bastard Matt :y: HAHA I just realised how many times I used the phrase in that post. :hmm:
  19. Sorry Luc I have to finish this car the missus is spitting chips!! I know I sound whipped lol
  20. Not cool Smeetsy just not cool
  21. The pipe from the water pump to go around the alternator is from a Mazda 929 82 onwards, it is the bottom hose for that model. The pipe that then connects to that pipe to get you to the bottom of the radiator is from the same model, just the top hose. With a piece of pipe in between it is a perfect match. I just used this combo on mine and with a little cutting and modifying it is a good combination without stress on the hoses etc. Thanks for the pics Matt, they will help greatly.
  22. soon my precious, very soon  With any luck I will be driving it next weekend
  23. Got mine about a week ago, I have already accounted for it for labour on my Corolla. I guess I am using it to help keep the mechanic in business
  24. I won't be making this either, I really have to spend time working on my Corolla to have it finished
  25. Nice... I know it is frowned upon to hit things but seriously the hammer has featured in a lot of my workings on this car lately and it is always a good friend to have.
