Alright, lets play forum education 101. i want to go to the beach. "ohh, id love to to to the beach : )" They mean the same thing. But because the first one doesnt have blunt in your face emotion to it, does that automatically mean i am being sarcastic or dry? No. If i wanted it to sound like that, it would be yes... i want to go to the beach. . or Yeah... Mmm beach or f@$k the beach. Lets take this into context. If beerhead wants to share his idea he will. - Ok, that says to me - If beerhead wants to share his idea he will - i can't see any knives or throat grenades yet, lets try the next line. Coronas arent hard to find, try looking before telling me its hard. - Its factual, to the point & accurate. Lets remember that your doing a fuel system here, and without my personal view of i think the industry of auto mechanical and electrical should be registered like that of plumbing or building - your previous line of "my build is on a tight timeframe" - Ok, thats understandable - but safety comes first hey. I have no need to re-write this thread as to what is or is not safe - But when you also say "i'm just looking at getting it going first, then overcoming any obstacles as they arise" - That to me spells - Well, ill just make something temporary permanent to work for now, and if it pisses out fuel, ill deal with it when it happens" At the end of the day, i don't want to jump on a forum band wagon and appear to be getting angry, when I'm not at all, (if i was angry, id have caps on, red text and bold. & you would know about it ) - its just when i know my friends, brothers, sister etc are getting into cars of unknown-ness, and there are people ALL around doing these half cast jobs - you don't want to be on the other end of me, when ive found out my lil brother has been admitted to hospital thanks to 3rd degree burns because fuel has started pissing over the hot exhaust & the cars set alight. I will re-make it clear - i am not angry as i am typing this... just understand where I'm coming from. You really wont want to pull the tank out again once its running, and its seriously dangerous to get fuel surge. - I don't think i need to decompile that line; Do it once, do it properly. - If thats the only thing anyone gets from any online forum or tech assistance - its that. Do it once, do it properly. If personal assumptions are leading you to think that people are getting angry at you.. just take a step back and think twice. No one is here just to blatantly get angry... ! Where is my unicycle, i need to catch another mango flavored elephant. :( T

It really is quite simple. Once you have owned a 200 series Volvo, the bar has been set. as sad as it sounds, it sets your standards unrealistically high. And when you jump into an 06 commodore, falcon or magna & start pointing out the comparable strengths in your 18yr old volvo; It raises the question - What went wrong? Its funny. It doesnt squeek, it doesnt rattle. It doesnt have throttle lag, it doesnt have top end knocks. It doesnt shudder, shake or pull to the wrong side of the road. Ill even go as far as to say it really feels like a Better-car than a new-age built Australian vehicle. Get the small things sorted on it, for the sheer fact that its 20 years old, and it will give less pain & cost less than a new car. A new car warranty is one thing, but a well built car is totally different. Keep up the bloody volvo driver campaign Australia. The more everyone hates them, the less they are worth, the cheaper i can get them. And that means everyone goes back to commodores, which at the end of the day, we have to fix :S hahahahahahah lovely cycle, isnt it : )

4k Cutting Out After About 5-10 Minutes Of Driving
Teddy replied to thimio38's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
check that its not the wire on the back edge of the dizzy, arking out on the metal coolant line that runs along the side of the Cyl head. If it looks like it is, insulate the pipe with some rubber. -
If you had a card for every overrated under 100,000 kms sigma's in wreckers around brisbane, you would have enough cards to make a couple of complete decks. hahah Sicccckkma ! Only a head&gasket away from being barely reliable ! Looks nice with the clean up !

pull a spark plug out, hit it with a hammer to make sure the electrode bends over, drop the plug a few times, re-install. 100% legit.

ill keep it brief, i can't remember if i typed this ages ago or not - If the Ecu has cap leakage, you can have unlimited amount of problems. Its good to see people describing in great detail about how its affected there own vehicle; Think about it this way though. If you have.. ____________ |...A.O......B.....| |......C....D...O..| |...............E....| |..F......O......G.| |____________| The "o" = The caps that leak A,B,C, D, E, F, G = ECU components .... = electronic tracks If any one of the O's descide to leak, in any direction, they basically create cross paths for the electrics, and in doing so damage the tracks. I don't think you would say the cap leakage burns the tracks, but under a microscope (personally seen it), it doesnt look too healthy. This is why any one of 2 million problems, all totally un-related can occur. There's no consistency as to why one cap leaks in any one direction. Sure you can argue the point each ecu in a 112 Turbo is on one particular position, and say they have.. 10 caps in total, and they can all leak in the same place...i could go on for hours in a day.

pull the Ecu out, open it up, have a clooooose look : ) T
