You need to basically strip most of the dash out, yes. Its easy for me to say its an easy job, when i have done it 2 million times. As for a word for word bolt to bolt document of how to do it.. that would take me hours to write. In short - you need to remove the dash top, the dash frame. ie - basically everything.
