  9. Checked flight times and things, only avaliable times into darwin for the 12th and 14th of sept are unreasonable. Any chance of knocking it to the end of sept ?
  10. Hahaha sounds good :jamie: If you can organize a 6 car cruise, id be in ! Love to meet all the active NT members ;)
  11. adjustable spanner to hold the rocker bridge, 12mm closed end spanner to crack nut on rocker and flat blade screw driver to change adjustment of the rocker pin whilst sliding the correct feeler gauge between the valve stem and rocker arm. Tightening up nut when there is a nice firm, but not too tight a drag on the feeler gauge when sliding it.
  12. According to the Genuine T Series (Jun 1978) Toyota Manual 98311E, Page 2-15... "With the engine hot, run idle rpm. Valve clearance is measured between valve stem and rocker arm. Valve Clearance : IN 0.20 mm (0.008 in.) EX 0.33 mm (.0013 in.) " Mind you this is when they were new. if the head or block has been decked, the clearances will need to be adjusted accordingly.

  20. At a guess, knowing no vehicle history - i would be saying she would be getting a little tired at 240 without a rebuild, haha But hey, if it still drives and doesn't pollute too badly - keep on trucking. Just keep checking the oil and water ! The ol 4AFC is a good motor, it may not be the fastest thing around - it wont let you down if you look after it

  22. Re: Sticker variations -> once this lot of stickers is sorted out, about a week left of this run id estimate as i am just waiting for a few final payments to come in, then theres like.. 6 stickers left? once this lot has been finished off, then ill get stuck into it. 25. G'day Barney. From memory, i think you need to remove the lower trims from below the steering wheel, and the glove box assembly to give access to being able to pull the center console out. Once its out, its a piece of cake ;) If one comes into work soon, ill have another look. At worst, take some pics of the center console / lower dash area and it should prompt my memory a little clearer. don't get to work on many of these older ones.. they never break lol. Ted
